Great extension, likely in the $5M a yr range, Greenlaw is a really good player, maybe they sign Azeez next, or EMan.

Agree. Great extension, but I think they had to pick Greenlaw or Al Shaair. Now Greenlaw gets the contract, Al Shaair will likely walk. Al Shaair is good enough to be a 3 down stack LB for most teams. I don't think he wants to stay and play behind Fred and Greenlaw.

YESSS!!!!! This is what I wanted. Hope Mosely can get down in season too so we only have to concern ourselves with Bosa.

I figured it was one or the other. I wish we could keep all 3, but I'm glad we chose Greenlaw. Not sure what kind of deal Al-Shaair nets, but looks like a 6th or 7th round comp is coming our way in 2024.

Smart move waiting until after this game to announce it. After last week's game would have been some... unfortunate timing.

They can have both easily. Just depends on the money.
Also this is a two year deal. They can go long term with Al-Shaair.

Horrible game week 1… maybe they used that game as leverage to get him for a reasonable deal. Perfect timing!

Not easily. What if Al-Shaair simply want to be a 3 down LB?

He easily can get a much bigger role on another team and more money. It'll suck losing him but I'll take the comp pick and the team does well drafting that position. Or they really like that Ball dude on the PS to take over next year

We could tag Al-Shaair if he has a great season.
