Good signing and well deserved.

Resigning Al-Shahir [sp] will be difficult.

Agreed but I think it will be all good, get a comp pick from Shaahir and hopefully my LB sleeper from last year steps in for him, his name is Buddy Johnson out of Texas A@M. Niners signed him to the PS when he was cut by Pittsburgh who drafted him in the 4th rd last year.

Signing Greenlaw suggests that the team will let Azeez go, he will get a lot of money.
There's not enough cap to pay 3 ILBs top starter money.

Most likely, unless Azeez takes less than Dre did, like in the $5M-$6.5M range, but doubt the 49ers do it. Rather they give Moseley $10M-$13.5M a yr than sign Azeez, need Ward/Moseley tandem long term.

Great stuff. Do you think Kyle resigns Mike McGlinchey? You know he loves him some Mike McGlinchey.

I think he plays his way out of the 49ers price range, IMO anyway.

And Azeez, with his RFA tender has the 27th(!) highest APY cap hit ($4M) among LBs. Greenlaw is the 15th.

There are only a limited number of off-ball LBs that can cover, so worth paying.

Yep, can see McGlinchey getting something crazy like $15M+ a yr, but not from us.

Been saying he's gone and that 15+ seems right considering what Laken got. Hello 3rd round comp pick for us. Hoping Moseley is the priority.

Agreed, Moseley should be priority #1 to get extended before next March. And yes 3rd rd comp pick for MM leaving.

I can't believe this team is going to have great defense at every level. In my lifetime, only the Harbaugh 49ers and the 94-95 49ers had that. The other teams typically had two out of the three (usually elite secondary and great Dline).

I could see letting Moseley go. RT is a far more important position and there's 2-3 guys on the roster now that could man that CB spot with an acceptable level of drop off (Thomas, Verrett, Lenior etc)

Time to lock up Moseley. He is vital to playing against great qbs like Allen Herbert or Mahomes in the SB

I heard we were trying to extend him and then nothing further

You think Thomas or Lenoir is a replacement for Moseley And then you want to count on Verrett?

As long as it took for them to get two good starting corners, I can't see them letting Moseley walk. As far as importance, CB is probably right behind tackle. Keep Moseley and draft a tackle on day 2 and 3 next year. Best man between the two rookies, Jaylon Moore, and Daniel Brunskill (more proven and reliable than any on the roster suggestions at CB) wins. Also, Moseley will be cheaper :).

Yet another reason to lock him up. Need a secondary that can match the pass rush.

Tone setter! No doubt this dude locked up RB and TE plays.
