I hope he makes it so they cut Malcolm Smith. Looked pretty solid yesterday.

Good instincts on the run and on the short yardage passes. He got burned a couple times on the deeper pass plays today though.

I recall one, but not a second.

I saw like 2-3 plays.

Add me to that list.

The way he's played thus far - he deserves a starting spot.

eh probably a small role. Ease him into it. Made some rookie mistakes but showed a great nose for the ball. He was always around the ball. I think he could be a starter at some point of the season

agree, he flashes some talent, but still very raw.. no need to rush him..

Please do this keep the young guys
He is making the 53 man roster, shouldn't be a question about that at all.

Totally agree.

And, IMO, will see lots of playing time.

I hope not, but only because I don't think we'll see many looks with the SAM LB on the field and I don't want him getting a lot of playing time outside of that spot cuz that means Warner of Kwon aren't there.

I don't understand the "Greenlaw is good so now we can cut Smith" takes.

It's as if people think the season is only one week long. We need affordable depth with starting experience. Smith provides that.
Greenlaw is going to be great! This is beginning to look like a classic draft.

Our fanbase has always been "cut him" heavy.

If there isn't a financial reason to cut him then there's no reason to cut him. However if it's a roster size or young player who may not be as good now but could get there issue...then I'd side with letting him go.
What I liked about seeing Dre Play Saturday was that he was reading the offense and diagnosing plays quickly like he was during practice. He proved that for sure on Saturday especially after get got beat, then comes back and makes that huge tackle for a loss. That was an awesome sequence. He's way more aggressive that I thought he would be in a live game, and he showed like he feels like he's the guy...I say dont waste time. Start him beside Warner and lets roll with Warner, Greenlaw
