But overall we are about + 12 on a 1-10 scale of how did we improve. Nobody was looking for this kind of increase in talent between. FA, trades and draft. Well, certainly not I.

Don't forget the Foster fiasco. We went from having a stud at LB to having a huge hole that had to be addressed. Then Malcolm Smith got hurt and never really has been able to play. That meant drafting Greenlaw and signing Kwon Alexander which in turn kept us from addressing O line or corner. Every move or injury affects every other move the front office makes. Plans can change in one play or one off field incident.

The draft looks good so far. We shall see, but even assuming it is a good draft, they need another one next year to solidify some depth to make a playoff run more consistently.
