That '94 draft was legendary. We got Woodall in the 6th round! He was our Swiss Army knife at LB. With him and the addition of Plummer, Norton...we shored up our Linebacking unit. This is a really good comp cuz even their body styles are similar and mid to late round gems. That dude was so awesome though! He also looked JUST like Evander Holyfield!! LOL it was uncanny. People forget how great we were Defensively in '95 too. We were dominant.

Awesome team in 95 with you know who as our defensive coordinator. We should've won the SB that year.

AGREE.. no matter how raw and how his inexperience has shown, this kid is a steal...

no complaints !!!

Kittle Trent Taylor and Greenlaw. Nice 5th round pics

That's more like Grand Larceny than steals.

OK OK... Let's not make the Great Triumvirate HOFs yet...

Kittle, as awesome as he was last year, has a tendency of dropping balls from time to time..

Trent's hurtin.. and Green has just played 1 average game for us.

Where are the HoF suggestions? Exaggerating the position of those you disagree with to a ridiculous extreme is a very low ploy. So Kittle drops the occasional ball? Name a tight end who never dropped the ball. Kittle is now the player other tight ends are judged against. You may consider Greenlaw's play average, but you overlook the point that he is a rookie 5th round pick. Rare that rookie 5th round picks get much playing time.

You put it much better than I could English!!
Lynch & Co. are clutch on day 3 of the draft.

Agree

It seems they tend to really score good players there.

always wondered why we signed Malcolm..

Really? Not much of a mystery. He was a temporary placeholder until a younger, better replacement could be found.

also he was familiar with the system we were employing.

just like the Garcon signing and the Kwaun deal too.

we were trash and had to pick from the bottom of the barrel and overpay them to join. It happens. Luckily those days are behind us

Yep I remember how mediocre we started with Steve Young going down and Dallas up next. I used to listen to the radio, Hacksaw and Jim Rome and everyone including the ESPN talking heads thought Dallas would blow us out with Grbac at QB, but we made a STATEMENT and blew them out instead (in Their own house.) But what really had me hyped was that W at Candlestick later in the year on Monday Night Football Vs Buffalo. That Plummer hit at the goaline returned 96 yards for a TD by Woodall made me think that it was really our year! Man we had the squad, really thought we'd get our 6th Lombardi that season.

Although we had better records from 96-98, to me '95 was the last year of the truly great teams. I remember reading a quote from Mike Ditka in 97 or 98 when he coached the Saints saying no one is quaking in fear when playing the 49ers anymore, It was true in my opinion. We lost something after that playoff game against the Packers. The 96 team just beat up on bad teams and by 97, we were damn good defensively, but were lacking offensively. Things may have been different if Hearst were healthy, but it was not to be. By 98, the offense was up to usual standards, but then the defense began to regress :-(.

i wanted him as our HC over mooch
Solid game. He will play more and be counted on more with Kwon out
1st sack with taht huge loss today.
Dude balled out tonight.
He has been consistently timed as one of our fast players on the field.

So speed from the LB postion with Warner and Greenlaw on the field won't be the issue.

Now's the rookie's time to shine.
