MY big fear is loosing the coverage from Kwon.

Does Greenlaw have Woodall level of coverage?

He looked like a liability in coverage in the preseason. We better pray he's advanced since then.

yeesh.

Yeah I don't care about the first preseason game as well.
That wasn't the only egregious pass play he had during the preseason. I posted that one because I had it saved. Greenlaw also appears to be a guesser at times in the run game. He needs to follow his keys and do his job.

Fortunately, I think the pass rush will mask most of his deficiencies in pass defense.

Are you really using a clip from the first preseason game.

Pro tip: NFL teams watch preseason tape.

When the Seahawks watch this tape, you better believe they're going to try to isolate Greenlaw. Trips to strongside with an over route isolating Greenlaw is 100% going to happen.

smh He was a rookie seeing his first game action in the league. Tons of rookies make mistakes in the first preseason game. One clip from back in August of him being fooled by playaction certainly doesn't make him a liability like your trying to make it seem.

As long as he learns. Luckily we're 8-0. We can afford to lose a game or 2 and still get the number 1 seat.

Not with GB or NO. They may not lose another game. SEA probably designing plays right now.

Also, they may.

We play them both. I still like our chances.

He bit on play action HARD. Repeatedly. Saleh will have his hands full getting his run/pass reads and situational awareness up to speed.
Can DeMeco Ryans suit up?

Aside from our game, GB is losing another game.

New Orleans might be a different story, but they still have some challenging games within their division.

You don't think he already has? You guys act like that game was last week. It was three months ago.

I'm sure he has. But practice is WAY different than games. Look I'm not one of these Debbie Downers. I'm a fan and I like Greenlaw a lot. I will be rooting for him, loudly.

that's a mental mistake / mixup... not an athletic shortcoming.

Malcolm Smith played in this defense his entire career, and he was still getting worked by those over routes. It's an incredibly difficult assignment for the LBs in this defense because you need to be disciplined, aware AND fast. Not to mention every team is looking to exploit that weakness, so you're getting assaulted weekly with cover 3 beaters.

We've been spoiled this season with Kwon and Fred(and the pass rush). I totally forgot about how annoying those routes were the last two seasons.

Malcom smith wasn't fast though. Greenlaw has got wheels. If he can get his reaction time down, he'll be fine.
