This injury (Kwon) might galvanized the defense to play even better than the last 8 games. Interesting times to be Niner fans

Dude will do fine. He already sent Elijah Lee to the PS and Malcolm Smith to the grocery store.

Agree. I watched him in preseason and loved how he covered recievers and tackled. He'll be fine.

I don't know the kid, but from what I'm reading in this thread is that he's basically a quick undersized LB/Safety tweener, overreacts and gets beat on play action, and not very smart.

Yea, I think we need to go out and find a veteran FA to man the middle of the field. I don't think this kid is the answer.

It's a great time to be a Niner fan, what sucks is Sanders may have got us over the hump to be sure fire super bowl contenders, Kwon may have knocked us back off the hump.

He's an inexperienced rookie and played like one so far. I think he has plenty brains to learn and adjust with the next 8 games

Same could have been said when Staley, McG, and Juscczyk went down. But their backups have held their own while the team kept winning. Let's hope it can happen on defense too.

I hope so. Usually the MLB calls the plays, reads the offense and gets everyone lined up correctly while taking care of his assignments as well. Tough ask for a 5th round rookie.
If he has the same instinct at LB as he has at cockblocking block party, we good.

Warner is the comm guy for the defense, Kwon was not.

That's Fred Warner's job.

Well that's good. He just needs to focus on his position. I'm pulling for the kid and I hope he pans out like EMAN did taking over when Spoon got injured. I love to see a kid come out of nowhere and become a star. Let's just hope it pans out.
time to see if demico ryans is that good of a lb coach?

He has made some typical rookie mistakes but to say "he gets beat...isn't very smart," is not an accurate portrayal of the player.
