OK -

They are all linebackers that are ranked BELOW Dre Greenlaw by PFF in their final rankings.

While I don't hold PFF in as high of regards as I used to, I'll take it. The kids been a gamer!

Whether you accept their method or not, it is still a rating system that is applied equally. The kid sits above some pretty good LBs.

Applied according to individual biases and assuming they actually are monitoring every snap for every player on every down, the biases can occur due to them utilizing a qualitative approach. There are roughly 62 offensive, 62 defensive, and 21 St plays a game. That's roughly 145 plays a game x 11 players on at a time = 1,595 plays x 32 teams = 51,040 individual player snaps analyzed per weekend in the NFL. I'm not saying it can't be done, but when you consistently hear fans say "wait a minute, they are saying that pass rusher xyz had zero pressures and I distinctly remember two" that's where I wonder if they are truly capturing everything.

Of course my own personal negative bias is: PFF is owned by Chris Collinsworth lol

That being said, I agree, regardless of the degree of accuracy, Greenlaw has stood out among his peers and deserves the accolades he gets. He seems to get better every week. He reminds me a little of Borland but faster.

Dre took Hollister's soul and didn't give an inch
Greenlaw had a beautiful open-field tackle on Russell Wilson that would've resulted in broken ankles for most LBs.

Monster hit when it counted. He does need to improve on coverage
I wish I could wear the gif of the hit on a T-shirt.
dude balled out with a text book hit at the goal line right when we needed it, winning again in the 5th round with Johnny L

"Dig your feet in at the goal line and kill anything that comes your way."

How about the 2019 draft class. Bosa, Samuel,Greenlaw all starting. Wishnowsky punting well and kicking deep. Skule filling in when he was needed. Jalen Hurd who we hope will be a good red zone target. Not a bad haul.

Looking good

The play was designed to attack his zone. He knew where he had help and didn't follow the route to the flat.
Anyone else realize this crazy coincidence? Greenlaw and Dan Bunz both wore number 57.

49ers beat Seahawks 26-21.

49ers beat Bengals.....26-21.

And did you realize the niners can still go 16-3?

Also adding to the coincidence factor. Last time niners played in the last game of the regular season was 1994 when they played the Vikings on MNF week 17. We all know what happened next.
