This guy is a stud. What a find by Lynch and company. His coverage skills and ball instincts are amazing. He reads screens quick and flys around. No need to sit him for Kwon. He is playing at an elite level.
I think Greenlaw made the loss of Kwon not too bad, and the comeback of Kwon with Greenlaw made this defense even better than early in the year.

Dre not a rook any longer... really impressed with his development this year.
Outside of the Dline performance he was the best player on the field

Agree

he's gained so much experience being on the field that he's wayyyy ahead of the "rookie" label.

We have THREE elite LBs who will (soon be) locked up for a very long time.

Just rookies in their first playoff experience...
If there's one thing this linebacker core is......and that's FAST AS f**k they all fly sideline to sideline. Fly downhill in run support.....man I never thought we would have a linebacker core like we did under harbs/fangio, these guys aren't on that level yet, (also 3-4vs4-3wide9 apples to oranges). But give this group another year or two together to continue to gel and get better.......I mean maybe?

The scheme is much different from the Fangio defense in my opinion, and if anything the linebackers we have now are *faster* than Willis and Bowman. I think this defense is more of a nickel defense vs the Fangio 3-4 base. The wide 9 really makes this defense move to the upper echelon in terms of pass defense. A typical 4-3 is already a good alignment against a pass offense, add in the wide 9 splits and the kinds of players the 49ers have at the DLine and it really makes this nothing like the Fangio defense. The linebackers in this defense are really coverage LB's that are fast enough (but not big like Willis and bowman) to plug the run gaps. And all the DLinemen are all 3-4 Bryant Young kind of ends, in a sense, versus Soapoaga/McDonald DLinemen.

I just love how they have that shark mentality. Everyone flocks to the ball quickly and smothers the ball carrier.
Gets better every week

Man can we draft them in the 5th rd or what!

Kwon/Dre/Warner now that's a good young LBer core.

Ball carriers hate it when Greenlaw arrives! They look at the referee begging for a flag cause their hurting!!! 😂
