Greenlaw has had a good practice and I expect him to be a solid starter again, an above average LB in the league. This will be his 3rd consecutive starting season, seems like he's going to be a cap casualty because he'll command good money after next year.

Again...meaning that there was a time when he wasn't? When was this?

He's been great the whole time he's been here… miscommunication

He's the chosen one?!

Played with big balls during the game. It swoll up when he got the pick six. Just waiting for the swelling to go down.
Azees balled out in week 1. If that continues maybe we can trade Greenlaw for a CB. He's going to be expensive to re-sign anyways. Don't want to pay two Linebackers huge money. Greenlaw and a 4th RD pick to the Pats for Gilmore. Yes Gilmore is going to be expensive also to re-sign but I would rather pay a CB than a Linebacker. I don't think the Pats are going to re-sign him, So they will have to trade him at some point this season or let him walk for nothing. And I don't think Pats are SB contenders so it wouldn't make alot of sense for them to hold onto him.

No. Just no. I get why you want to do this but I have no interest in trading a young player on a rookie deal whose star is ascending.

I can see trading him next year, but this year is his 3rd of 4 years and he's now a viable star on our defense. He'll be too expensive (maybe we Franchise Tag him), but for now, he's cheap and he's effective.

Thing is both him and Al Shaiir are the same class so both will be UFA's the same year. So one of them is getting paid by us.

Id like to see Greenlaw kept if possible however.
Greenlaw > Al Shaair. He's even better than Kwon. We need to find a way to keep him. He's not getting Fred Warner money, so we need to find a way give him a team friendly raise.

I agree. Even though Al-Shaair had an overall good game, He still had some easy missed tackles in 1-1 situations. Greenlaw is a really sound tackler, especially in space. It's easily Greenlaw>>>Al-Shaair until he improves his tackling.
