So much for that timeline! I thought he would be back this week but of course in true form we will be paying the Rams with a bunch of back ups like ALWAYS. What do we have 4 starters on defense total?

It's unreal but I think you're about right. The starters available on D going into the Rams game...Bosa, D.J. Armstead, Warner, Moseley...well, five starters & that's it. Shanahan mentioned he's hoping Ward will practice tomorrow...hoping Ward can get back vs. the Rams and help the backend of this D, which badly needs it after seeing what happened last game.

Our defense isn't the same without him.
Agreed. His speed and tackling ability have really been missed.
Warner & him play well together in chasing things down & holding things down. Right now with Greenlaw out, Al-Shaair has been forced to try to pick up the slack. He's done well but there is definitely a drop off. When you can have Al-Shaair in as a complementary piece playing alongside Warner & Greenlaw in those packages, this LB group is much better and tough to deal with.

Is he coming back this week or what? This Vikings game would be a reallllly good time to play again

yes, we need this defense at it's best this week.
This might be the biggest game for us so far this season just because of playoff implications.

Silver lining is that Marcell Harris has gotten more playing time at LB and I think you're starting to see him develop and improve there. You hate that it's because of an injury, but it's a positive at least that he's better prepared going forward. The LB group, along with the rest of the team is getting better.

Ehhh, I hope we've seen the last of Marcell "Whiffner" Harris once Greenlaw is healthy. The dude misses waaaay too many tackles.

Is there a stat that can confirm? I really don't feel like he's missed as much as people think.
