Isnt this the guy who was one of the best run blockers in the country last year, but also one of the worst pass blockers? Pass, we dont need a poor man's Mike Iuptai.

give the kid a chance in camp and pre season. in case you have not noticed. our current crop of guards are trash.. we sure as hell need someone in those spots. and do not start in with.... jimmy will make it all better

How exactly does an OL stand out with no pads on? Realistically we won't know until preseason whether he is actually worth a damn or not.

didn't Chris Dalman had the same scouting report coming out of Stanford back in the 90s?? was it??
Dalman ended becoming a very good center for us, maybe, JUST maybe, Center could be the FUTURE for Reynolds.

49ers entire OL didn't give up a single QB hit during minicamp. I know there's no contact allowed, but still.

This also isnt the 90's. Runblocking was more important back then. Passblocking is more important nowadays.

.. what's your point?
maybe the just believe that our OL coach can develop him to a fine pass blocker, and that's probably why we signed him??
yes??
no??

Yep, Dalman was considered too small and too soft with same limitations as this kid. Dalman was a 6th. rounder I think, he played both Guard spots before finding a home at C and was a crafty C for us. A broken neck (no paralysis), and a rookie named Jeremy Newberry ended his reign. Now, IDK if this kid is the next Dalman, but its not a bad comparison. Dalman was better than the guys we have now at C, and guard !, so IF this kid can become his 2nd incarnation, i'd be all for it. #SeeY'allWhenDaPadsComeOn

Someone on Snapface and Instabook asked MM how Street has looked during OTA's... his response :
It's difficult to tell anything about a D-lineman or O-lineman until the pads go on. Street is very strong. He'll be shooting for a rotational spot.

PFF graded 14 QB hits and 7 would-be sacks in the 3 OTA practices including the day of the family BBQ.
