So did our entire line?

Unless he looks like Jeremy Newberry, then we dont need to draft a C. Otherwise its been too long since we drafted and or had a consistent type of pro bowl C.

Garland's strength has always been run blocking, but pass blocking was a problem for him in recent years. If he can hold up in pass pro, that's going to be a huge help for us.

Agree with both. If he holds up - he and Richburg will be great depth at the OLine. As I understand it, Richburg's injury isn't career ending. He should make a full recovery, so says the internet. I can see an undrafted free agent coming in to challenge Shon Colman for a spot or perhaps a low round 3rd day pick, but I don't see this team picking a high round OLine pick if Garland does well the next three games.

Not just Seattle. I really hope that they put in that call to John Sullivan.

3 of our lineman got beat on that play. Not sure why Garland is singled out?

Geez that's reminiscent of how bad he got abused against Seattle

He had like 10 snaps that whole Seattle game and came on dirt cold. I'm not saying he's good or anything but let's see how he does with at least a week to prepare as the starter
Shanny didn't necessarily help the situation. There was some pretty long developing plays called shortly after he came in that should have been quick hitters but if i recall they adjusted. But i think jimmy took about 2 or 3 sacks in the 10 or so plays after he cane in. Maybe related maybe not

Staley looked great, dude used the force on Davenport.

Garland may get the start, but don't be surprised if Shanahan yanks him in favor of Person or Brunskill.

LT: Staley
LG: Tomlinson
C: Person
RG: Brunskill
RT: McGlinchey

w. Garland and Skule on the bench.
If we can put up 48 points in a playoff game with him I'm sold

Let him get a full weeks practice and a shot against a mediocre team at home before you write him off.

Skule has stepped up. Brunskill has stepped up. Give Garland a chance to step up.

Besides him whiffing completely and allowing the pressure right up the middle on Garoppolo? I dunno.
I like him
