Did they assign him a number yet?49ers.com gave him 87, but I doubt anyone gets that number
That must be a mistake I doubt very seriously he'll be allowed to wear #87.

They corrected it, he's been assigned 83.

They gave away DeMarcus Dobbs's number?

I remembered Toilolo simply for this one play:

Damn solid depth signing. I can't see Celek beating Toilolo out for the #2 TE spot because Levine is a much better blocker and not far behind Celek as a pass catcher. Plus he's familiar with the offense so there won't be a big adjustment period that would give Celek a leg up in camp. Celek will have to impress enough to beat out Kaden Smith and then hope KS keeps 3 TE's on the 53.

With Jacob Tamme, Levine Toilolo and rookie Austin Hooper, offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan has three good players at his disposal. While one might think that this formation is best suited to help in the running game, Atlanta has primarily used it in the passing game this season.

This could be a huge lineup near the Goal line. Levine 6'8, Kittle 6'4, Kaden 6'5 all playing TE. Mathews 6'4 at WR and then Hurd 6'5 at RB. If you flex Hurd out of the backfield you have a dangerous receiving core with a ton of size. The possibilities of this offense are limitless.

LMAO...Kyle, that's just not fair. Those DC's have families, ya know?

And our TEs are much better than ATLs

Nice

I remember mocking us drafting him way back when he came out of Stanford. And I may have even made some FF dart throws on him thinking he'd break out in ATL.

He never lived up to what I thought he could be.... but he's always been an intriguing TE to me.

Be interested to see him this preseason.

Wow, I love this lil nugget, thx THL!

What did we use against the Vikings in the 2015 opener? 23 personnel?

It gave Hyde his 168 yards and passing of the torch from Gore........unfortunately it didn't last anywhere near as long as Roman's old run blocking schemes, LOL.
Ideal TE3. Nice value pickup.

I think he's our new TE2 honestly.
