Gotta work on that!

Deebo looking like WR1 right now.
I love how Hurd whether knowing it or not has upped the competition. Ahkello is one of my favorite picks as I like him a lot and think he's very talented. I think he's going to be a good one BUT throwing punches and the ball at the opponent is stupid. Practice good habits. This team needs to play disciplined smart tough football. It's just practice I KNOW. You play how you practice. I don't want to see that juvenile crap week 1. We can't afford it. Luckily we got some vets to reign the young bucks in.
I'm still concerned by Ahkello's refusal to get physical at LOS. Dude continues to open the gate to run and mirror WRs. It's like he doesn't realize he's 6-3, 200 lbs. I wish we could put DJ Reed's brain in Ahkello's body.

A CB should change up what he does at the LoS. Line up in press but don't always go for the jam. The rep we see from camp could just be one of those where he chose not to jam. idk

Yup. Kittle had a case of the drops early last year too. Hope it doesn't take Pettis that long to get it straightend out. Kittle dropped some easy balls early in those Vikings Chiefs games that could have extended early drives and kept our D off the field. He turned out ok. Lol. Pettis just needs to get focused as my best guess from watching a few highlights. Practicing a bit lackadaisical. He should be a good one too though.

Pettis will be fine but he's got the talent to really be special. Need him to be consistent with his hands so the QBs trust him. Though if Jimmy is thinking of throwing up jump balls I'd look in another direction until DP can prove himself there.

I like that we've got confidence but at the same time.. let's hope Ahkello isn't so stupid do that stuff in a real game since that's an automatic first down, 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.

I agreed. I think it's ok though. Good for players that have something to prove. It's practice. As long as they are reminded after to keep it out of the real games.

Players like Hurd need to keep his cool on how he would respond to that too. Practice opportunities
Anybody know how the OL looked in pads today. I'm concerned about the depth. I don't care about the starters. They're good enough and should get better. More interested in the backups. Who's the top swing T right now??? So happy we got rid of Gary Gilligan. Ross Reynolds and Garland going to make this team? I needs games man.

Sounds like Shon Coleman is doing pretty well as the swing tackle.

OK, I'm done with camp. Let's get on to the real McCoy.

He really does need to be more physical. Hopefully with more of a sense of urgency this year he becomes more physical. He's really talented but doesn't have the speed to not be physical at the LOS with these WRs. I don't know it's a mindset. I disagree with people who say you either have that or don't. You just got to practice thinking like that and incorporate it into your game. It's early so we'll see.

Forgot about him. Good. Thank you.
Here's a longer clip of Ahkello vs Hurd. Ahkello is going to catch hands from Hurd in the coming days.
