I'm reading he has a chance to start at SAM. Making the team almost seems like a given

We should have just cut Smith.

Why? He re-worked his contract? And this team has like no depth at LB.

Not based on his contract but because I think Lee and many others off the street would perform better. Just my opinion though.
Andy Isabella is going to take Ahkello's lunch this year. It's so easy to create space vs Ahkello.

That's a W for Laken.

I don't know why people crap on Lake. He's solid. Not great, but not terrible, either. Not to mention they got him for peanuts. jgarf, who probably knows more about OL play than anyone on this board, did a pretty damn good breakdown on his technique. Unfortunately, it's lost in the mists of posts somewhere on this board.

No I agree Laken is a solid LG

it would cost us more to cut him now after the "restructure". Too much for a bench LB.

Joe seems like a good dude, and was a Seahawks fan, so I don't hold it against me that he took his dream job for his team...

Reminds me of Reuben's rookie training camp

I don't even know what that is suppose to mean? So having a good rookie training camp equals bad?
Reports are that the offense stunk today. I'm ok with that. That's the downside of training camp practice...one way or another one side loses.

I'm confident if Jimmy is healthy that our offense will be able to move the ball and put up points. Our defense however is the unit that doesn't have Kyle Shanahan improving it with scheme. I'd rather hear that the defense is dominating and let the offense work out its kinks.

Now once the pre-season games and joint practices with other teams start up...then yeah, I'll hope both units look great.

It's the curse of Joe Fann....onto Seattle you go!

Barrows is the most level-headed of all the beat guys. And that is probably where we are going to be going into the season. Our D will keep us in games; it'll be interesting to see if our O will pick it up.

Solid. We want legendary. Like we used to have.

I mean it's all pretty standard vanilla offensive plays right now.
