I mean... I'm a Thomas doubter myself but you gotta admit he's at least beating backups.
Lol oh man it's awful that this is where we are at with him
People overreacting one way or another. People want to come in without reading reports and acting like guys are invisible when it's not the case then unfortunately seems like we have to go there.
Thomas hasn't been dominating camp but he hasn't been invisible either. In either case it's training camp and it's early on. The guy looks much better than last year and seems to be in a much better state mentally.
Whether he shows more of the guy we took at #3 overall or is a decent spot rotation guy and a bust at #3 will not be decided in training camp.
This. Thomas looks quicker laterally, stronger, and sounds better emotionally. A message to both camps...
Thomas doubters: Right now is not the time to say "I told you so". If/when he starts getting enough playing time at DT and he hasn't produced, then you can be upset again. You should be analyzing what you see during each game, but give sufficient time before a final verdict on him.
Thomas believers: Don't change the narrative again if Thomas continues to struggle inside. The issue was that he was played out of his natural position at DE and his sisters' suicide. If he continues to struggle with enough playing time inside at DT, he needs to be held accountable. Period. I don't want to hear he lost time being outside in the past, or any other excuses... now is his time to shine.
