Eric Crocker: Tim Harris sucks, he can't cover nobody

Jordan Matthews: Hold my beer

LOL. Scripted. That was one lazy rounded off route.

That's how you run it when you know the ball not coming to ya

That's the second finger injury (Garnett). Strength staff should consider video games to help strengthen those digits.

Agree. We need to work on fingering.

I hope he never takes up piano. That could get messy.

This is what happens when you take ping pong away.

I'm hoping to see that also from BeatHard, I'd love it if BeatHard can generate a mid round pick for us if he's traded. But for him to do that, he also needs to hit some big plays on offense in pre-season so ShanaLynch can market him to the highest bidder.

Not gonna get a mid-round pick for CJ. No way. No how.
Well, OK, I'd accept a 7th rounder. But having said that, I think there is a market for CJ if he can hit those long bombs that defensive minded head coaches like. All you need a is an ignoramus defensive minded Head Coach who's clueless about offenses (Vic Fangio anyone? ) Who falls in love with CJ's toughness and strong arm. I'm thinking ShanaLynch can pry out a mid-round pick from an organization like that.

I mean... I'm a Thomas doubter myself but you gotta admit he's at least beating backups.

Lol oh man it's awful that this is where we are at with him

People overreacting one way or another. People want to come in without reading reports and acting like guys are invisible when it's not the case then unfortunately seems like we have to go there.

Thomas hasn't been dominating camp but he hasn't been invisible either. In either case it's training camp and it's early on. The guy looks much better than last year and seems to be in a much better state mentally.

Whether he shows more of the guy we took at #3 overall or is a decent spot rotation guy and a bust at #3 will not be decided in training camp.

This. Thomas looks quicker laterally, stronger, and sounds better emotionally. A message to both camps...

Thomas doubters: Right now is not the time to say "I told you so". If/when he starts getting enough playing time at DT and he hasn't produced, then you can be upset again. You should be analyzing what you see during each game, but give sufficient time before a final verdict on him.

Thomas believers: Don't change the narrative again if Thomas continues to struggle inside. The issue was that he was played out of his natural position at DE and his sisters' suicide. If he continues to struggle with enough playing time inside at DT, he needs to be held accountable. Period. I don't want to hear he lost time being outside in the past, or any other excuses... now is his time to shine.

Thomas Neutrals: Moot point. We're running a wide-9 now so we don't need a Big-LEO anymore and have 45 other interior DL. Some can rush inside. Some can stuff the run. One can do both. Anything he can add at this point is just bonus.

...people complain about him not even beating backups.

Video is posted of him beating backups from literally today's practice.

Doesn't matter because it's just a backup.

I've tried to be objective when watching Thomas. I wasn't as inspired by the Seattle game as others on here we're and was labeled a hater because of it.

But when people say things like "he can't beat our backups" that's clearly false. We still have a lot of time to make a judgment on his 2019 season, but right now let's get our facts straight.

Thank you for being rational.

Its all about expectations. Prior to TC there where a number of articles and posts about how dedicated and awesome he looked working out with DP. I agree, its only been two days of padded practice, but when you hear about Bosa's amazing Staley beating hips and Big Buck rag dolling people, I was hoping to hear some real positives about Thomas regarding 7 on 7s and 11 on 11s. I don't care a whole lot for 1 vs 1s. Honestly, if he really had potential, we should be hearing about him tossing 3rd string oline scrubs and putting pressure on CJ TheLard.

That's not his game...his game is quickness, not strength. Just because he's not putting up Aaron Donald like results in team drills(not sure how much you're expecting from a DT in 7 on 7 drills lol) doesn't mean he's not improved.

There were blurbs about Thomas looking pretty good with Buckner. Just like in games though if someone else wins your job may not be as flashy.

If he's doing well in 1 on 1s those are a little more indicative for defensive linemen than DBs. It's still about technique.

And expectations should be tampered with every player in camp. You want to hear the best possible but it's a long process. There hasn't been any bad reports regarding Sully...or really any DL so that's a positive in its own.

I'm confident if Sully keeps improving when he sees the field with guys like Bosa, Buckner and Ford around him...he'll do some good things.

Heck look at it this way, even Grant Cohn had Sully listed on his "good" list from practice 1 and didn't find a way to put him on his bad list in the other practices(if he could he would, you know this)

Only 45? Thought there were more of them.

I can see the camp report from Thursday ...

" Buckner and bosa take first team reps at FS and SS.

In related news, there will be a memorial Saturday for d Pettis"

I don't even know what that is suppose to mean? So having a good rookie training camp equals bad?

Never said that...

Previous poster said Bosa's rookie camp reminded him of Patrick Willis, but reminded him that Reuben Foster also had an amazing camp...just trying to remind the posters that training camp means nothing and we will find out what Bosa can do when the regular season arrives
