And one thing they said was Miller was absent from practice today because of "knee soreness". Pretty much same thing as Dee Ford was dealing with. So contrary to popular belief of all the chicken Littles around here our team isn't the only one who has any kind of injuries or little nicks and nacks. I think one reason we keep hearing about every little thing any 49er is "working through" as Harbaugh used to say is because the team is being super overly cautious with the slightest thing to the point of paranoia. Now some of these are actual legitimate injuries but most of them the player would go out and continue to play through it if was in the regular season. For example, Kittle said if there was a real game today he would be out there playing even though he's been held out of practice this whole week because of a little calf tightness.
Every joint practice across the NFL always has a fight.

I like how cautious the medical staff are. They're using biometric devices to measure things in a more objective manner. I like that versus the subjective stuff from the player themselves and just observing a player from the outside with raw eyeballs.

Toran fighting for a roster spot. He'll win. No one wants to break a leg over a roster spot

Because if he dislocated it AND damaged the structures that hold the finger in place... surgery is the only option.

Not all injuries are the same. You can't just "tough out" a dislocation that includes torn ligaments that need surgical care to repair. It's like asking somebody to tough out an ACL. If it needs surgery...it needs surgery.

Agree. Also one of the benefits is to allow another younger less experienced player to sub in and play and allow the coaches to see if that young and raw player can play and possibly replace Garnett.

People act like top doctors just make up reasons to do surgery. Surgery is ALWAYS the last option. Doctors will ALWAYS exhaust other viable non-surgical options if any exist. If he got surgery it's because he needed surgery.

Agreed. But who needs a real doctor's commentary when you can feed off the negativity of the Webzone armchair medical staff?

Denver tweets.

Flacco three an absolutely perfect deep ball to Emmanuel Sanders, but the safety got his hand on it just as it fell into Sanders' arm. Helluva a pass and PBU.

The 49ers' 4-3 defense was a different look to begin with, but as quarterback Drew Lock noted, that was far from the only new wrinkle; the 49ers used more two-safety looks
