I'm so ready for this season to begin. Finally caved in and watched the 2012 playoff game vs the Packers. I think 2012 we had the best WR group that we've had in a while;
Randy Moss
Mario Manningham
Michael Crabtree
Ted Ginn
Vernon Davis
Delanie Walker
I really hope our current group can be just as good. We do have all the elements that group had (minus the Moss effect)
I'm so pumped for this year man. Can't wait.
Rant over!!!

20% of concussions occurred in practice.
31% of ACL tears happened in practice
18% of MCL's happened in practice
These numbers show that injuries can and do happen at any time. While the percentages are higher for games it is still fairly likely that you will get hurt in practice. Teams have to practice and they do need pre season games to get ready for real contact and to evaluate young players. I don't know any other way to do it. Injures are part of the game and can't be avoided by not playing. Even if you just practice you have about a 20% chance of injury.
Personally, I think injuries are going to go down overall this year. Having Jimmy (if he gets back into his 2017 form) he'll play keep away and rest the defense and in general, if he's good at converting 3rd downs and scoring like he did that year -- less fatigue on both sides of the ball will result in more health. At least that's what I'm predicting.

Half of those WRs were injured for the year after the Seattle 42-13 beatdown....THAT and the fluke choke job by Denver against Baltimore cost us Lombardi #6
