I think if we needed some more depth - Robert Beal - I think can be called up from injured reserve.

I think partially because we already have Bryant. I wish we could've brought him back. I also would like to look at Jordan Willis.

I think the depth is good *if* Drake continues to develop. If Drake plateaus, then of course Randy Gregory has to take up the slack. I think Gregory, if he's really what he is like what he is described on paper - we should have a gem of a pass rusher and it makes sense to let Hyder go.

My hope is that the 49ers aren't peaking *TOO* fast with a 5-0 start. I'd rather the 49ers peak towards the end of the season and into the playoffs.

the 49ers know how long and what it takes to play out the season, i wouldn't worry about peaking. a win is a win no matter what it looks like
LYNCH just landed his Simeone Rice for this team..

Couldnt be peaking. 5 days ago people thought Wilks should be fired lol. I think this team is on a 1994 49ers tear. When I heard Kyle thought we should've scored MORE in that first half, it made me think of Mike. Daddy Shanahan was a killer that thought we should've had 8 touchdowns in Super Bowl XXIX. I think that's the level Kyle wants this team to operate on. Also, this team has suffered too.much disappointment to peak early. Those vets know this season is about the Super Bowl. If ya listen to Brent Jones and Steve Young at the start of the 1994 America's Game, a lot of that applies to this team.

This is really going no where now.

i think you are missing the point. The DL is doing its job and then some by
1) eliminating the run game
2) forcing the QB to get rid of the ball very fast

just because it isn't showing up on the box score doesn't mean they arent doing their job. There is a reason our defense allows the least amount of explosive plays and on the pass defense side we allowed the least amount of net passing yards/attempt

You laid it out very nicely. Better than I was I think. Thank you.

No, I get the points both of you guys are making but you guys are missing mines lol.........but like I said this is going no where now and is getting repetitive lol... so I'll just leave it at that. To each his own.

This.
We have an epic battle of the trenches with Philly. Philly might have the defensive rookie of the year. If Gregory plays well, game on!

We already know the battle of the OL's.

Right now the metrics lean in their favor in both.

I get your point. There is room for improvement. But there is room for improvement for every single position group on the team.

Good call.

The Philly game will be the ultimate test for our OLine.

Eagles pass rush gets pressure in an average of 3.15 seconds. Cowboys pass rush gets pressure in an average of 3.43 seconds. So eagles pass rush is certainly a bigger challenge. But Brock has been getting rid of the ball in an average of 2.40 seconds. I think eagles secondary is going to have to play tight coverage and make Purdy hold onto the ball a tick longer but they are certainly a more formidable opponent than the Cowboys.

Well, whether peaking too fast or not, I like the fact that they have Gregory *and* Beal, Graham and Winters all ready to break out. My hope is that our Coaches are coaching them up for major contributions later in the season and in the playoffs. Same with Ronnie Bell and Brayden Willis, Jaiyir and Luter. Good to know that the coaches think the 49ers *aren't at their peak yet* and can improve some more. I know the players are mentally good with their high standard and one game mentality. Definitely 🏹🏹🏹 for all 3 sides of the team. The veteran leadership will be key to making sure the 49ers aren't peaking too early. I think the Medical staff has done a good job in making sure the important Vets - Trent Williams, CMC etc... are getting vet day rests. So far, so good, on the health front - knock on wood. (None of the non-practicing players are suffering very serious injuries)

Going to need to attack their LBs and S's. LB was a weaker point last year, then they lost their starters in the FA.

At least we'll have a QB available this time.
