I'd be asking Denver about a DJ Jones for Kinlaw and a pick swap. They get a pick and potential for another comp and save 9 mil next year on a guy in the final year of his deal. With how expensive it might be to move on from Russ it would make sense for them to get some cost savings for their rebuild.

After an unfortunate loss, they will lose some more as well, people are back talking about how pitiful of a DC Steve is. Well let's give the other team credit as they played their ass off and hit the best of the 49ers today. The Browns are a good team and have by far the best defense in the NFL. If they had a consistent mid tier offense, the team would be a real serious threat to win a SB. No AFC team wants to see the Browns in the playoffs if they make it in.

Wilks is a good DC that will be in this role with the 49ers for years to come. We need to settle in and get to use to it. He will maintain a top 5-10 defense for at least the next few years which is good enough for any team that has SB level goals.

The bottom line is we aren't as good as we though we were. Cowboys found out last week, Eagles and 49ers found out this weekend. He NFL is tough and on any given Sunday you can get beat.

We're 17th in the league with sacks. All things considered that's a problem. He's far from pitiful but as others have stated not much creativity going on on that front line. Bosa becoming a non factor is a red flag.

I agree it's a problem, but Bosa has missed the whole off season and he's getting his game back. I think the 9ers have something in Randy Gregory. Armstead IMO has to step up more especially with Hargrave by his side he should be winning his one on ones.

I agree. Denver held him and Frank Clark out of last Thursdays game and I think he can be had. The only question is fitting his contract.

5 million isn't difficult.

At this point, I'd take him.

Right. These guys aren't swarming nowhere near the level of other d lines

That's just not accurate.
Bosa being the weakest link on the defensive line is something I did not ever envision. I watch him pre and post game and he has difficulty walking. Slow and wobbly to say the least. I pray to god this guy isn't following the path of his hasbeen brother at the Chargers. Joey Bosa signed a massive contract in 2020 and has since been an average to below average pass rusher. A total bum if I'm being honest.

Nick Bosa better turn it up quick or it will be the worst contract in Niner history.

Do you think you're seeing that right now? Have you been checked lately for vision, mental issues, narcolepsy or just insanity? Bosa is playing well, despite not getting the sexy numbers.

The pitiful is too harsh. But I guess maybe a little more aggressiveness given the personnel? idk. I thinjk ultimately this defense will finish top 5, but it just seems like something missing, in spite of pretty much holding all opponents, including the Browns to low point totals. I'm curious as to where we rank in terms of yardage. I haven't seen that this year.

Okay, so we are 1st in points and 3rd in yards and teams have had A LOT of opportunities to pick up garbage points and yards against us. Not bad. I think it's just the sexy plays that are missing.
anybody watching philly dline manhandle miami? The fins were downright scared in the first half. carter == monster. They look ready for the run, lots of smart plays. Not sure were in that league this year. They stuff the inside and we have some issues there. We should shift out of the wide 9 once in a while, just to change things up.
