For a GM who's sacrificed the entire roster building up the greatest DL in history, Lynch has to feel sick to his stomach right now.

The entire roster 🤣

When you've spent more draft picks, free agents and cap space on one unit, the most in history over 7 years, you're sacrificing elsewhere. Period.

It's still a great roster after 7 years but still clearly in the bridesmaid category and the same three/four issues remain exactly the same: QB, OL, Secondary; and modest pass rush and poor closing ability.

Somebody will need to fact check me but in 2019 qb's prob had 2.0 seconds max to get rid of the ball. With Buckner/Jones in the center and Ford opposite edge, no long developing plays. Everything underneath into Warner. In the SB, at one point Mahommes came off the field and asked Reid if they had time for a play they were looking at. Breaking up that line is criminal. We would need a Burns level opposite edge to save this, we've got nothing in Kinlaw and Jackson. If Purdy can't be better at the end of games we might not hit 9 wins.

Modest pass rush? No pass rush. That won't win you half the games in the NFL

But PFF says we have a high pressure rate. LOL

I went for the middle not to ruffle anymore feathers.
Imagine how much better we'd be if we had DJ Jones and Buckner, instead of investing in Armstead and Kinlaw.

Now we are sitting on a ton of cap space.

Lol what do ever you add besides attacking posters? He at least adds his opinion. I 100% agree that we have sacrificed a lot of draft capital for the defensive line and the results thus far are extremely concerning.

I just checked and the entire 49er D line has 11 sacks in 7 games. Drake Jackson had 3 in the first game. Hargrave has 3 after getting 11 last year in Philly. Bosa has only 2.5. I don't know what the problem is but they need to change things up and start getting some sacks. The defensive backs aren't good enough to consistently keep up with fast receivers.

People felt that Bosa's holdout was the reason he started slow but after 7 games he's not showing any signs of being the guy that was DPOY in 2022. He's not even getting double teamed as often as he was last year. I've seen a lot of plays where he's one on one with a tackle and he can't get by him. He tries to bull rush most of the time and it's not working.

This D line has been the biggest disappointment so far this season. I expected the addition of Hargrave was really going to produce a lot of pressure. So far it hasn't. It's also discouraging to see teams that were having trouble running the ball run effectively against us.
i have decided that im going to act like i didnt watch last nights game

The hot takes were from YAC and his PFF spreadsheets from yesterday. Not his fault but fake news.

Does that mean you will believe our defensive line is amazing or we have some serious issues?
