Suh wouldn't be terrible move. Just plug and play for cheap. Our middle is SOFT

Hopefully both DT's are healthy and we don't need to worry about this. I'm optimistic they'll both be ready. Even if just one of them is that's a huge relief.

Nether practiced today. AA has missed so much time this year, I always wonder how these guys stay in game shape.

I mean we have allowed 8 rushing TD for the season which is 4th least and allowed 3rd fewest rushing yards/game

I mean yes the last game without both of our starters and 1 backup made it so we had no rotation on the interior and that was also the outlier game. We have allowed 4 game with over 100 yards rushing (2 to the Cardinals , Browns, Bengals)

I think it's going to be tough if they're down even one of those guys. The one difference in this game on Christmas is that the 49ers are going to have different DE's, CB's are faster and Tashaun Gipson will be starting. Back in 2019 when they faced Baltimore the 49ers had Marcell Harris, Azeez Al-Shair, Julian Taylor, Solomon Thomas and Jaquiski Tartt playing and they held them to 20 points in Baltimore. I think the defensive roster has massively upgraded since then, their offense has hardly changed.

I think the stat is misleading. We usually lead which takes away the run. I don't think we are that bad, but I wouldn't say top 5 either.

This. We give up a high YPC but low YPG. Our offense has masked the weak run D, we call that complimentary football. I'm still more concerned with the secondary.

Absolutely agree 💯% that Kyle's ball control offense does inflate the 49ers defensive run game stats. I don't think we're a top of the line run stopping defense despite what the stats say, simply *because of* the nature of Kyle's ball hogging offense. Teams usually (1) don't run when they are behind and (2) time of possession is less than the 49ers so they can't execute as much run plays as they would like.

Hargrave back at practice today, but still no Armstead.
I expect Suh to be signed this Tuesday or next - most of the in-season signings are done Tuesdays. He probably needed a few days to get into a bit better shape.

Huh ? Greg Roman was their OC

The only players on that offense that will be playing on Monday are Lamar, Gus Edwards, their FB Ricard and ghost of Ronnie Stanley (and he might be out too)

Four years is a long time in the NFL. Both of these rosters changed a lot since then. Like 85% changed.

All the more reason that after tackle, corner, and IOL, I'd draft a defensive tackle that is an elite run stuffer and can provide some pass rush. I'd draft one late as well to develop.

Teams don't run anymore. Especially when down. That said, the Ravens do. So these weaknesses will be exposed at an all time high. It'll be a great test indeed.

Yup. And there are a ton of cheap veterans you can add annually as well d/t the overdrafting and oversaturated market. Even more so if you're just looking for a plugger. Lynch was way ahead of the curve on that one.
