Having AA back for this will be massive.

Great points.

Yes but I also want this line to elevate and terrorize this mofo every snap!

It's hard to terrorize a QB if it's truly an assignment based gameplan like the one they implemented versus Hurts in Philadelphia. That game was a selfless, collective effort to squeeze the air out of the pocket and collapse on top of him. These types of games aren't conducive to big sack and pressure numbers because the DL are not trying to win their 1-on-1s by any means necessary. They're doing what I mentioned in the previous post.

I understand and it worked with hurts because imo he doesn't read a defense very well. But Lamar and love show more skill in that area.

Regardless, the less time he has to read the better.

I'll be honest. I haven't watched enough of Jordan Love to grasp how much of threat to run he is. Dude is clearly athletic, and from the little I've watched, there does seem to be a propensity to extend the play behind the LOS to get the ball down field. It's going to be interesting to see how they attack him.
I'm hoping to see Beal and Joseph-Day progress and hopefully make an impact.
Jordan Love didn't seem rattled or nervous at all against the Cowgirls.....this Dline can't allow that to happen next Sat.

I didnt think Dallas pass rush was very effective at all.

to your point 9ers are giong to have to make him more uncomfortable.

Jordan Love had 2.86 seconds to throw 0 sacks and 3 QB hits

they got no pressure

Just a PSA reminder for the "Defense wins Championships" crowd.

While there is a shortage of high quality OL every year compared to DL, come playoffs, the 1v1 talent has been pretty even, with many of the top OL > DL.

After just one weekend, all of these guys were completely shut down by quality OL play and are sitting on the couch now, like us: Myles Garrett, Zadarius Smith, Aaron Donald, Micah Parsons & Demarcus Lawrence.

This is a passing and pass protection league and has been for a long time now.

I would imagine the passing game is very similar to here...OZ, PA to the middle of the field the mass majority of the time, take calculated deep shots.

yep the league has adjusted to the recent surge in freak athlete edge rushers. OLmen are adjusting and offenses are just developing to be able to get the ball out in under 2 seconds consistently. their taking the edge rushers out of the game.

now that we got our QB of the future its time to rebuild a monster OL in front of him so he can pick apart defenses. trade for an experienced C like we did with mack to help him an then use pick #1 for a RT. Mckivitz is not it.

I just hope our defense plays lights out and just let our offense do its thang without having to go in a shootout.
i know our defense is capable especially with all the talent on the DL

The passers made a much bigger difference than the pass protection.

It's a coach + Qb + Defense league

Playoff OL's say to Myles Garrett, Zadarius Smith, Aaron Donald, Micah Parsons, Demarcus Lawrence, Josh Sweat, Fletcher Cox & Hassan Reddick. TJ Watt would have been sent packing too, if healthy.
