Yeah can't blame lynch for that...gotta make a move or two though.

atleast they'll build their endurance
There were 68 defensive snaps vs the Saints compared to 56 vs the Panthers. I wonder if Buckner, Armstead and Bosa would have played a higher percentage of the snaps in the Panthers game had the game been closer.

I think we need to look at another game that was close when the whole d-line was healthy, like the first Arizona game, to get a more accurate comparison.

The injury to Blair, who was having a great year, and was an extremely capable rotation guy, was very costly.
The panthers game was also a blowout so I'm sure that played a part in the low snap count.
Yup. Need to draft another DL with our 2020 1st round pick. Never have enough.

We have more pressing needs, then to use another 1st rd pick on a DL.

Fixed.
This defensive line is still elite and will be even more elite when ford comes back. Their hungry and ready to make some noise in the playoffs.

The snaps have absolutely increased and will continue to increase with the lack of quality depth. Bosa hurt his knee last game and pushed through it. He shouldn't have too but are you really going to put Jeremiah Valoaga out there in a meaningful game? Or Solomon Thomas on the edge since he's needed now inside because of the loss of Jones'?

not much context though. More overall snaps in the Saints game and that Carolina game was also a blowout. I would expect our starters to play more in a game like that last week.

Grant with the great fact check lol... yup we ALL KNOW there's guys that got hurt and the starters have to play more. Shocking

Armstead - Thomas - Buckner - Bosa

Not elite...but good and the high snap counts seem to be effecting their production and dominant abilities. It's something important to watch going forward. Especially Bosa's knee. The offense needs to control the clock and give these guys as much rest as possible and with their spare parts, find ways to quickly get off the field.

He's a nutcase but right now, we need specific skill sets. Those both were good suggestions. Any fatty NT's out there? Maybe Saleh will finally move Buckner to 1T and let Solomon Thomas and Day play 3T???

Oh no doubt he's had some off field issues in the past...I see no harm bringing him in for a visit and seeing what's up.

They're asking a ton out of Bosa (as a rookie). They need to do something it Ford is gonna be a no show for weeks.

Moving Buck to a 1-tech might be an option.

I'm all for it. No doubt we're going to need reinforcements and who knows, if players like that play well and add Sullivan to depth on offense, now you've got some legit depth --- something you badly need going into the playoffs.

compared to other DL groups in the league that's still an elite starting squad. They need depth and need Ford to be ready for the playoffs. We're lacking speed off the edge and a big fatty to eat up some early down work.
