The only issue I had in the pass game were the penalties.

In the run game, it was the terrible setting of the edge. I don't know if we need to put someone else outside like Kinlaw, Givens, or bring in someone like Hyder or Jordan Willis, but we gotta get that fixed.

that would be ideal but its tough because you are giving up on pass rush

Really the only weakness on DL is Chase young not setting the edge which is why i think he hasn't been given the snaps. That side of the DL is allowing a lot of outside runs. I feel like our run d down the middle is fine

They can load up on run defense by putting AA/Bosa at DE, then Kinlaw and Joseph-Day at DT.

Anyone notice how Joseph-Day performed last game? I know he was on the field but did not spotlight him.

Other than one huge run what did Jones do?

Didn't he average 3 yards on his 17 other carries?

Im not trying to be dismissive - because the run counts obviously. But feels like the panic is unwarranted. I thought they generally did well against the run.

Pretty much.

he wasnt an issue until he was.

I think we will stuff montgomery.

Gibbs is a problem though. slippery and fast.

He hasn't looked great when I watched him. I also thought he was bigger.. he looks so small compared to AA. But to be fair, everyone does.

Bleh. He's supposedly known as a run stopper but he's been used as a 1.5/2 gapper most of his career playing in a Fangio-like scheme.

3). Hargrave is way over-paid and God forbid they resign Lard Ass Chase.

This. And he's over 30 and not good versus the run. I liked the signing but it hasn't been as impactful as i thought it would. Hopefully makes some plays these next 2 games. Detroit's o line is better than GB's. They need sacks to get off the field on 3rd downs. No way should GB go a whole half without needing to punt.

Is Suh still available? Would he help?

DL was fine. Watch the game. Jordan Love prevented so many sacks by getting the ball out.

Is there something schematically (marriage) that is changing our W9 front or is the front 4 still being run the same way with Kocurek? I keep hearing others blame the above average play of the front 4 on Wilks but I can't seem to tease it out here. Anyone?

I've feel that they have been using a bit less DLine stunts and a bit more linebacker blitzes. Wilks is a DB guy and I feel he's using more different coverages on the back end and hoping to allow the DLine to have more time to get to the QB.

Overall, I dont see too much differences between Wilks and Demeco. I think Demeco does a better job sniffing out the offensive plays vs Wilks. Demeco is in the playoffs for a reason. Arik has been injured and 5 weeks off will get him a bit rusty. Hopefully he'll have most of the rust gone by the Lions game.

Hargrave caused some pressures against green bay in the red zone that forced them to kick field goals in the first half. Greenlawn 2nd interception was caused by Hargrave spooking Love out of the pocket.

Between stopping the run and turnovers, I'd rather have the turnovers.

Has been on the last 3 NFC champions (Bucs, Rams, Eagles) I believe….would balance out the Ertz signing (false) hype, but like that, he's way past his prime

Team is 20th in sack percentage at 6.83% and 27th over their last 3 games which is 5th worst. Inexcusable with this front. Chiefs and Ravens are both top 4 on the season. Chiefs also lead the league in unblocked QB pressures and ravens are fourth. Pretty sure this is scheme and playcalling.

Are these considered box score stats?
Very happy we have most of our draft picks this off-season. We need to replenish the cupboards on both lines to keep up with the Jones'.

Huh interesting and you appear to be right. Just seemed like he was constantly getting big gains, but taking out that one run he was at like 3.23/ypc
What's the status of Drake Jackson? Is he completely do e for this year?
