I'll wait for a 4 game sample, but some things do stand on. Hargrave is a pass rusher and should primarily be used as such.

I think the team has the D-lines of 2019 - 2021 as the standard, but those lines had an All Pro in Buckner in the middle, could move AA inside on rush downs where there were no paths of escape for a QB because of the other guys and had an elite speed guy in Dee Ford. Then there was Bosa. The guys we have now, while good, aren't there. More will need to be done to dial up the pressure. Given the numbers of vets we have, this shouldn't be difficult.

I think as others stated we have no run stuffer in there which I believe in this scheme is called the 3 tech correct?

I completely agree it should be bosa, hargrave, floyd chasing the QB.

The other dude needs to be a mammoth that can eat two blockers and stonewall runs.

I believe Kalia Davis is the actual mold for that right? But he's friggin' hurt as usual and they didn't draft or pickup someone else to help with that.
The Dline is an absolute joke. Couldnt get home when it matter against a bunch of CFL and practice squad players. Where is Bosa? He got his big contract and does nothing to account for his highest paid non QB contract..

Its not Davis. He's more of a quick penetratimg guy. Ex-LB that just got DT big. Evan Anderson is supposed to be the run stuffer of the future.
If we stay with the wide 9 we need a fatty space eater
Hargrave done for the year, good thing we drafted a stud DT
Welp Niners better wake the hell up and do what they have to do to trade for someone that is at least a solid defensive tackle. Our backups are absolute trash
Looking like this team has wasted a bunch of early picks on WR, not addressing DL needs along the way.

Yikes. We should be even worse at DT now. Wow.

Yes I agree.

I don't think we can ever say this team didn't address D-line. Dline and RB have had an enormous amount of resources poured into it.
YES PLEASE!

The difference is with RB they have spent draft capital outside of CMC. For the d line it's been a ton of FA signings. Bosa and Dj Jones are is the only good d lineman this regime has drafted. Sadly they just spent a ton of money on d linemen and the results are pretty rough. Not sure how it gets better with Hargrave out.

Agreed and missing horribly on thomas, kinlaw, and foster still hurts.

Should be much worse. It was already bad.
