Can trades be made at any time? This would alleviate a lot of the problems with JH gone now and help out the run D

Ironically I was just coming to post this as a possible suggestion. It would be a good move if Denver is willing to trade him.

Do it!

Dooo it!

And give up what? Any high draft pick and fans would be complaining next year that we didn't draft an O lineman or LB they wanted. Without good LBs there are going to be more opportunities for teams to run on the Niners.
It would have to be at a bargain rate or they should pass I can't see him moving the needle nearly enough to give up real value.

A DT on an expiring contract pushing 30 isn't gonna cost but so much. If Denver is willing to move him it's not going to cost a high draft pick.

Only if he gained 40 pounds

Yes. Our best run stuffer when we had a good run defense.

Looking like this team has wasted a bunch of early picks on WR, not addressing DL needs along the way.

I don't think we can ever say this team didn't address D-line. Dline and RB have had an enormous amount of resources poured into it.

The difference is with RB they have spent draft capital outside of CMC. For the d line it's been a ton of FA signings. Bosa and Dj Jones are is the only good d lineman this regime has drafted. Sadly they just spent a ton of money on d linemen and the results are pretty rough. Not sure how it gets better with Hargrave out.

Have you forgotten Thomas and Kinlaw? Along with Bosa, that's 3 of the 7 first round picks the team has had. Then to add the money spent in free agency you brought up, trades for Jordan Willis, Charles Omenihu, Randy Gregory, and Chase Young, I'd say no team has invested more in Dline. We have invested every type of capital you can invest in Dline.

One of the issues some fans have had for years is the obsession with Dline while neglecting Oline.

This.

Give them BA.

He is signed. No more road blocks. See ya. I am sure he can find a backyard in Denver with trees that play zone.

Bring back Mcglinchey too
Can we look into trading for Arden key back? DJ jones as well
Man this sucks. We have to bring at least a couple guys in. We're probably scouring practice squads right now.

We're facing a run heavy team right after losing two DT ..

McGill and rookie Evan Anderson... It's your time to step up..

If we pickup a free agent I'd go get Ridgeway and Mike Purcell.

We gotta pray that this guy is a major diamond in the rough and can play ball.

Is ridgeway out there? I thought he was a good rotational piece. Bring him in asap. I also like the idea of DJ Jones for a day 3 swap or something

I hope we see him, he seems like a 2025 play, sort of a project. Not really the teams MO, but they are desperate for DT's now. I can see them bringing YGM inside some, and using Barrett and Beal more on the outside. I'd use Anderson and Shakel Brown, considering the upside.
2019 was over powered on the defensive line. 2023 was a different crew but pretty good on depth and talent. This team is injured, older at some positions, FA departures. Just a lot of things. Not as dominant of a defensive line. Especially right up the middle. Interior is a big problem now. Other teams will take advantage of it too.
