I didn't see one blitz either!

That puzzled me too. When it became obvious we couldn't "make Ryan uncomfortable" with a 4 man rush, at least a couple Cornerr blitzes seemed to be worthy of trying.

Yeah if you can't put pressure on the QB, you will likely lose the game. Not having Ford and Jones sucked, but we need more from Defo and company.

Agreed. Even without Ford, AA is having a good year, Bosa is boss, and DeFo is capable of flashing. Most teams don't have two good pass rushers.

Dear lord please help guide Lynch into bringing in a veteran DE so we can stop with the Valoaga experiment.

Seriously though, losing Ford, Blair AND DJ Jones has been a huge blow to not just the pass rush but the defense.

I probably would feel a lot better if they even brought Tank Carradine back. These next two games are MUST-WIN games without a doubt!!!
Top 5 DL Statistically this year:

1. Arik Armstead - 54 tackles, 11 TFL, 10 sacks, 2 FF, 1 FR

2. Nick Bosa - 47 tackles, 16 TFL, 9 sacks, 1 FF, 2 FR, 1 INT

3. DeForest Buckner - 61 tackles, 9 TFL, 7.5 sacks, 2 FF, 4 FR, 1 TD

4. Dee Ford - 14 tackles, 6 TFL, 6.5 sacks, 2 FF (11 games)

5. Ronald Blair - 21 tackles, 7 TFL, 3 sacks, 1 FF (9 games)

Other fun facts:

* Buckner's 4 FR ranked 2nd in the NFL. His 61 tackles ranked 11th in the NFL among DL.

* Nick Bosa's 16 TFL tied for 5th best in the NFL.

Thanks for this.

Really adds to the perspective of how dominant the DL is.

39 Sacks is incredible.

And that didn't include a few sacks here & there by ST, DJ Jones
So when all is said and done did Zittel help us out? Clearly Valoaga did not help us. How about Givens? How about K. Street did he do anything for us? Now we will have Mitchell back with us and he should give us some help. Ford should be back but it is unclear whether his hamstring will hamper a full return. So we will get our Dline some rest, and that is a great improvement.

Sorry if this was posted already, but it is always a pleasure to see how hyped up baldy gets breaking down film of our D line

My favorite was the sharks gotta eat video after the Carolina game. It's nice to see that some people still enjoy real football.

More out of curiosity than anything, but could Damontre Moore theoretically return from the IR for the Superbowl? I'm not sure if he'd be an upgrade to what we have currently, but after breaking his arm on November 24 and going to the IR on the 25th, he should be eligible to return any time after this week, right?

No we can only activate 2 players from IR. We already did that w kwon and street.

Armstead (10), Bosa (9), Buckner (7.5) and Ford (6.5) combined to make the 49ers the only team in the NFL with four or more players with at least 6.5 sacks. San Francisco has 44 sacks from first-round picks this season, which according to ESPN Stats & Info data is tied for the most in a season since sacks became official in 1982. The 49ers have a pressure percentage of 40% when both Ford and Bosa are on the field to go with a 17.3% sack rate, large upticks from the 28% and 5.3% marks the team has without those two.

It would be perfect if that wasn't the name for the Niners cheerleading squad
