Has mahomie been sacked 6 times all season? Without dj i see our sack total three or four. I agree if we get home more our odds of winning go through the roof.

He was only sacked 17 times all year so either his line is protecting him well or he is doing a good job of escaping.

It's a combo of both. Chiefs oline is very good.

Yea their o line is impressive. Gonna need guys on the back end to bring their A coverage games.

They are ranked 16. We are ranked 14.

We massacred that green bay line, and that article says Green Bay's OLine was better than both the 49ers and the KC"s line. We shall see, but I think Dee Ford really makes this DLine hard to handle, even if you had hall of fame OLinemen along that KC line. In '84 - Marino wasn't sacked at all in the two playoff games prior to the '84 super bowl, but we got to him 4+ times. And that was an aging DLine (Louie Kelcher, Gary Johnson, Fred Dean) along with some newbie rookie DLinemen and some middle aged veterans.

Bosa = fred dean; Gary Johnson = Buckner; Dee Ford = Dwain Board; Arik Armstead = Michael Carter.

I hope Givens is active for this game. Nothing against Earl Mitchell but another interior pass rusher will be more valuable against KC.

I tend to agree with this but would swap two. Bosa is a little more Board, and Ford and Dean were more on the speed rusher side.

This is why we've invested heavily in the DL. For this game. Put up or shut up.

Agree that Ford = Dean, although I'm impressed with Bosa's bend and speed off the edge. I can honestly say Dean's explosiveness and Bosa's are very comparable in my view.

The DLine investment was well done. Contrary to Seifert who invested more draft capital on DT's vs Edge Rushers. (Ted Washington, stubblefield, BY) vs charles haley.

I predict they will continue to invest in the Edge Rusher position in the future because it's such a critical part of the defense.
Watch Bosa forces a rule change where grabbing an OLs wrist will be considered holding.

Interesting thought. Might be a good take.

I miss dj.

Bosa = goofy-lookin' Jim Stuckey

Say what you want about this clown, but he's 100% accurate in this situation. Buckner almost always got the center sliding in his direction. Next year that will be AA, which means his production will likely drop. Someone will need to step up.

If AA already dealt with over 200 doubles last season, how much higher will it really go? I'm guessing he sees another 60 or so.

I don't know where this number is coming from, but if you gloss over most of AA's best plays from 2019, most of them are clean matchups.

issue is PFF has him as a DE so the stats are a little misleading

PFF also hires people who have absolutely no clue what they're seeing.

It only takes a few minutes of the video above to see that majority of AA's production wasn't vs double teams.
