Nice post man... I don't think we can count on Ford at all and Hyder is still a FA. That being stated, if Bosa is even 90% of what he was and DJ, AA, and Kinlaw are healthy all season, this DL will be damn good. Plus, the Niners have some talent (albiet somewhat undeveloped still) in Street, Daniels, and Givens on their roster. With Ebukam added to the mix, that group to me, looks very promising. Tim Ryan absolutely loved what he saw from K Givens last year. With a year under his belt with the Niner coaches, he could really contribute this season.

Ya I'm expecting this DL to be good again this year. Expectations are definitely higher on Kinlaw as well. But that's most likely the only way this DL can replicate what it did in 2019, with Kinlaw being great. Even without that, a healthy Bosa is gonna automatically make it good.

But that group had Ford playing well and he was mostly healthy, (especially for his standards) AA gave you 10 sacks, and then Bosa and Buckner playing at a high level. So we would need Hyder to come back as well. But it seems depth wise we could be better, especially with having the draft ahead of us.

True. i think on 1st down they like the beefy lineup with AA on the edge with Kin and DJ on the inside. totally agree on passing downs. Kick AA in side and let him work

With Tartt brought back and him noting he'll be used to pass rush more, all those interchangeable S's, expect that pressure to come from everywhere with the 'idea' DeMeco Ryans might be more aggressive and multiple than Saleh.

Maybe he'll be added at the #12 pick (or first round trade down). Ebukam and Willis are good value signings, I think. Both have been pretty healthy, Hyder had some injuries in the past and I think that was a factor in letting him go.

I'm starting to worry about our pass rush. We don't have any legit guys opposite of Bosa. Plus Bosa is coming off a major injury, lost Hyder to Seahawks, Ebukam is not an Edge (AA 2.0 type skills), and not even going to mention Ford.

Using a bigger end and having a designated big end position aren't the same. And I wouldn't be surprised with Saleh departing that Kocurek slowly moves away from Armstead as a base end.
