Any updates on Kinlaw? He should be good to go for week 1?
How about Givens? any suspension for his off field incident?

Lynch getting calls about the DL. Of course he'll say he wants to keep them, but if the price is right, there are other positions that can use some help.

But we're also extremely deep at that position, and believe me, we're taking a lot of calls because people are interested in some of our depth but we're hanging on to it because we want to be a group -- we want to be strong there.

If anything I hope it would be for Givens or Street. Those two been on the team for a while and haven't really produced, much rather keep Hurst and Kerr.

Streets' stock is rising and I'd like for an ACL project to finally pay off. Kerr just signed as a free agent. It seems like bad business to sign a free agent then ship him off somewhere else after a few months. Maybe that doesn't matter but it can't look good for future free agents that are thinking about joining the team.

I do not want any DEs traded because Ford can go down at any time and Willis won't be back till mid season. Tough choices but there is a logjam at DT.
Here's a knee-jerk thought. Why not trade Armstead? Or is he too much of a staple now? I hate that he's a tweener between DT and DE. I guess there's a risk if Ford can't stay healthy. Quick thought is I would rather keep guys that play a position well than one who plays two "OK". And that contract though.

I 100% support ditching AA.

Especially the money he's due to make next year.

That cap number goes up by a lot. Though I assume that if we keep him his contract will get restructured.

i would help him pack. can you imagine if we traded him and cut hurd on the same day. the zone would melt down

Not only Ford but it's smart to maybe limit Bosa out of the gate. One injury at DE and we are looking screwed if we trade a guy away.

I dont' think Street has enough tape to e traded. We here he's looking good in practice but hasn't shown much in games. Right and why trade Kerr after just signing the guy. I say we hold pat right now.

He's too expensive. At this stage no team can fit him within the cap. JL would have to agree to pay 75% of his salary for the 2021 season.

Doesn't really sound like a bad deal if JL got a 3rd or better for him. It's next year he starts really hurting the salary cap, no?
But like I said, just a quick take without much indepth thinking on this. We would be hurting if any of Bosa, Ford, Ebukam went down after trading AA. Willis has looked good but out 6 weeks too.

Arden Key could contribute this year to. If we can get a guard for Armstead I say do it.
And to think I was worried about losing Kerry Hyder...

Wow, I finally watched the last game. Street and Kerr were dominant and all over the place. Willis may have gotten the sack and Key may have had a batted pass, but Street and Kerr were disruptive!

AB has brought this up before. Kerr, Key and Hurst were one year signs. Givens is a guy that we can keep on the team in the future for minimum cost. I think Street might be someone that will be a bit loyal, given that the team never gave up on him. I dont know where Willis' contract is but he's another young guy that has looked good.
Maybe trade Armstead to the Jags. They have the GM who drafted him, lol.
One of Coach's toughest decisions will be who does he keep, Kerr or Street. KT gives versatility...he can play inside or out. He's had a terrific camp and despite not putting up crazy numbers of tackles or sacks, he's been doing a lot of the dirty work, just as he did at NC St for Chubb. He's also been in our defense for a lot longer. Kerr provides tremendous power in the middle, something we just didn't have at all last season. With Willis suspended for the first 6 games and Hurst out for at least a month, Coach may elect to keep both these guys, we'll see. Both are deserving, but the numbers game can possibly thwart that. Bosa and Ford coming off serious injuries lends further credence to keeping both players, I'd think. Kerr can b/u DJ Jones and Street can b/u either Bosa or Ford to keep the pressure on. Not sold on Key yet...he has quickness but not the power Street has.
