Zach Kerr was pretty bad today. I saw him get outleveraged and driven across multiple gaps on multiple plays. I think he'll improve with more reps within the scheme, tho. Givens has never been great against the run, so I wasn't surprised by that.

The wide 9 inherently sucks at defending runs up the middle, and it didn't help that the guys we were missing 325 lbs of beef in the middle.

We need Kinlaw in there especially with JV out. That pitch count for Ford and Bosa just went out the window
Getting gashed anywhere by the Lions is a problem especially up the middle.
Maybe Kinlaw will now get more respect for what he is good at and not just act like it's not that important. It showed today that there is no shame in just being a good run defender. It's a pretty important job. It's also what Armstead is good at.
our linebackers weigh 220 and line up four yards deep. they need an uber to get to the gap
Like th said we might be doing too mich rotating unless Bosa/Ford really are on a pitch count. Arden Key shouldn't be playing this much. He stinks. I didn't notice Ebukam much. Not sire how he did.

He made the game saving play at the very end…

Game on the line--what four do you field?

Turbo package

Dee Ford -- Maurice Hurst -- Nick Bosa -- Samson Ebukam

Demeco dialed up this package(AA/Street for Hurst) multiple times yesterday on money downs. On the last play of the game, Ebukam gets home with a TT twist between he and Kentavius Street. If Street would've been able to get a little deeper into that center's hip, Ebukam would've taken Goff's head off.

Wait until they play a team that doesn't run.

Bosa was not on a pitch count. Ford yes. The rotation keeps the DL fresh. Week 1 pass rush was a good with the rotation. We will see whether this works going forward.
Have people considered that maybe the Lions Oline is really good(even without decker)? It's the only strength of their team.
They need to make a cut up of all the holdings that weren't called in the Lions game and send it to the NFL FO.

Nothing wrong with a rotation just don't go overboard with it. Yea you keeping guys fresh to a certain extent. But you are also putting lesser talent on the field giving the opponent chances to make plays. It was DR's first game i'm sure he'll find a good balance. Key was on the field way too much for my liking
As a few of us pointed out after Sunday, Zach Kerr had an atrocious game. Thx to this dude for taking the time to cut up the film. This is Kerr's first game in a new scheme, so I'm going to give him a pass for this one.

How do you get moved from the front side A gap to the backside C? Kerr must've thought stretch was coming or something because this is awful.
