True but those are closer positions...hell, having Gipson over Tartt might have been enough. A healthy ER opposite Bosa. A returner. A healthy C or higher end RG/T.
The teams that won kept adding talent.
We were kind of stuck with the QB in 2019 so that had to be the avenue in our reality. No guarantee.

I really wish the stars align for this group. Arguably the most exciting group in this team, hopefully, no injuries and everyone has breakout season. I already know what to expect and get from Bosa, Hargrave and Armstead, but what I also want is to finally having Kinlaw, Drake, Clelin Ferrel, and Kalia Davis live up to expectations. They will be scary.

In regards to the DL, I think the way the team sees it is that they have 3 guys in Armstead, Bosa and Hargrave that can be counted on to win their 1-on-1s, and with Wilks dialing up the blitzes, they can add to those wins with blitzes as well as manufacturing opportunities for the other guys with stunts/games. I think we've grown accustomed to lining 4 guys up and asking them to win their 1-on-1s that we're overlooking Steve Wilks' impact with his pressure packages.

That Wilks blitz element is real and a good point. He's got a lot of toys to play with here including LB's, S's and CB's who can blitz which could lessen the lean on needing that ER opposite of Bosa.
I'd still like to have another nickel veteran ER though. LOL
