How is this thread only 9 pages long? Am I the only person who realizes this is the best defensive line in the NFL? Shirley deserves at least 19 pages, LOL.

Is it worth it to keep Soloman Thomas on the game day 46 over Julian Taylor? Thomas has only shown any consistent promise when pass rushing one on one against a center or guard. Otherwise, he has consistently been a liability.

This really isn't true. Jullian can only play inside and is slow. He is far less valuable. Solomon has had limited snaps but he's actually learned how to beat blocks on the edge now as well. He's always has terrific closing speed when having to chase, and he also matches up well against Seattle.
There is no reason at all for Taylor to be active over Solly because ST is miles ahead in terms of talent, versatility, and athletic ability.

Maybe. more versatile and he has flashed a few times when one on one. Only saw one time on the edge. My limited awareness of ST, tell me he gets handled during running plays but I could be wrong. I will be watching more in future games.

Julian Taylor deserves more playing time inside. I say he should play over Sheldon Day for a game or two. Sheldon Day has been pushed around the past couple of games which created some huge holes for opposing RBs to run through. At least we've seen Taylor's strength and won't get pushed around that easily.

Haven't seen anything on how saleh and Kyle intend to stop the runs up the gut which was probably in part due to Wide 9s. I mean, when you look at it pre snap, it looks like you could drive a Jeep between the DTs. In another thread i wondered if we might see a 5- 3 -2-1 or 4 -1- 3 -2-1 or who knows what. Will saleh have Dre, perhaps, line up just behind the DTs and right in between them?
I understand why we have heard nothing, as neither Saleh nor kyle would want SEA to know what we are planning. But it will be a surprise to see wide 9s and nobody filling the space between the DTs.
Will we come out wide 9s? What better way to put a clamp on RW? Yes , I think we do, but mindful that there is a huge hole between DTs to run thru...and AZ did. And will this be the brainchild of Saleh...or will kyle have a big say in the D set? My vote says kyle has a lot to say about it.

Our lb's haven't been great filling holes shedding and making plays. Check out the last few pages of the jonnydel vs arizona thread....th breaks a lot of the problems down

I love our line, but it isn't like we have put this together with lower draft picks that are playing over their heads.
Any other DL in the league use this much draft capital?
Were elite but then again should be by what we "spent" to be elite.
