13-3
NFC West Champions

The Rams take a step back this year, will be lucky to get a wild card.

Looking good. That Ram comment is aging pretty well.

who do you want to replace them with?

Hopefully someone that knows how to build a team.

I've think they have done a pretty good job. Each year they do better and better.

Actually they have gotten worse.

You need a better rebuild plan than this. Shanny and Lynch have a 7 years rebuilt plan. Other teams can go from bottom to the Super Bowl in 2 - 3 years. But not us. Not the 49ers under current management.

Lots of failure in this thread from the usual haters but this exchange really sums it up.

LOL

I have to assess why we lost as many games as we did last year. Now this list isn't all-inclusive, but I think it hits on the majority:

1. Injuries

Pretty much covers it.

Okay, in all seriousness now, injuries really were the root of almost all our problems, or they were severely compounding any pre-existing problem we had. If I had to list out the things I saw that were non-injury related, I would include the following:

1. Lack of diversity in defensive schematics.

2. Lack of star talent on the front seven, outside of Buckner.

3. Lack of star talent at WR.

4. Lack of depth across the board. Limited our options for mismatching or to counter mismatches in certain situations. It also meant we had to keep certain players on the field longer than they otherwise should've been, further putting them at risk.

The good thing is, I think we actively addressed almost every issue you could have laid out after last season. From the above, we added Joe Woods who is essentially a co-coordinator helping diversify the back end scheming, along with renowned DL Coach Kocurek to help on the front end. On the front seven, we added Bosa, Ford, Moore and Alexander, and Warner came back looking much improved, as well as a rejuvenated Solomon Thomas. At WR, we added height and/or power with the addition of Hurd, Samuel, and Matthews. We upgraded FS by moving Moore back there. At RB, we upgraded with Coleman over Morris, adding depth to a group who had every member hurt at some point last year.

Schedule seems tougher still and Jimmy will have ups and downs. I think we have the talent to do well, but I'm still with just over .500 with a 9-7 record.

OK, so like I said in my OP, we addressed virtually every gaping hole from coaching to personnel. We've still had injuries, but the depth has been there to help overcome them. I knew we should be better, but THIS much better? Wow! All I can hope for is that we just continue to win and go all the way and get trophy #6.

#BRICKBYBRICK!

If only this could be pinned to the top of each page.
I could not have been more wrong on this year's predictions...and I couldn't be happier!

By the time this is done, only about 6 fans will even be in the ballpark. Wow!

Im right here man. I picked 10-6 last year but was wrong, then this year we never saw bosa in the preseason so you couldn't tell how improved the defense was. I was clearly wrong, just happy to finally watch some winning football.
Like I said when I said 8-8, I'd rather under estimate them and be pleasantly surprised than the opposite like last year.

Do you still want Shanahan and Lynch kicked to the curb?
