surprise cut- DJ Jones: DL Coach likes DT's that penetrate and disrupt in the backfield. DJ Jones is primarily a run stuffer.

surprise keep- Adrian Colbert: Put on weight to do more work at SS. His speed is hard for Kyle to get rid of. Plus he is still young and has a high ceiling.

Surprise Cut. Richie James. Many experts put him out of 53 man roster under players like Taylor, Bourne and Matthews. He has shown being capable of big plays, be consistent and has big role on ST as returner but still getting underrated.

Surprise Keep. Joshua Garnett. Personally there is no reason to stay on team when he doesn't look for any chance to get snaps or even being active, specially when they could take another player on waiver wire.

Surprise cut: K'waun Williams

Surprise keep: Damontre Moore

I feel like with Ward coming back and his ability to play in the slot (if healthy) and the emergence of Moore at FS, makes Williams expendable and they'll use Ward and Reed in the slot.

Keeping Moore might not be that big of a surprise to some, but given the fact that he was signed from the AAF, then cut, then re-signed and then balled out in pre-season makes a pretty good story and I'd imagine would surprise most.
