You said exactly that last year too, right before before he pasted the 49ers.

He's not a great QB but he's definitely not horrible.

because we have the same dline and overall d from last year? But for people to say last year that jameis sucks with the d we had last year was very stupid especially with the weapons that surrounded him and he truly isnt as bad as people say
Niners are favored by 2, on the road playing in the Eastern time zone where they rarely win. Vegas must know something.

Maybe that the TB Oline gave up 15 sacks first three preseason games.
Nice comparison, NC but the STs?

Qnn May very well have touched on it and i flat out forgot it....WISH and his pinning them deep, his knucklers should be good for a fumble or two, and his runners (i forgot their name) will be a challenge for Tampa. In the end, WISH could be the difference here.

Still interesting that Vegas has so many points scored. If that happens, it is as PHX noted way back when...their O torched our DBs and we never covered them...or something to that effect. That means that Bosa/Buck/ Solomon/ Dee have to put pressure on Jameis. If they do that we win. If not our DBs are going to have one long , long , day.

Honestly think the odds changed from +2.5 to -1 or -2 because Nick Bosa and Dee Ford will start Sunday. Dee Ford is gonna ruin Demar Dotson I think.
I'm a little concerned about this one. I think Tampa can offset their bad o-line by picking on us with short, quick passes. I also could see our offense laying an egg. We also almost always play poorly in Tampa, regardless of start time.

Vegas knows how to get people to give up their money. They don't set predictive lines, they set lines to encourage action that will enrich the house. Most people think the Niners are a better team due to national media chatter, so making them the favorite is an easy way to pull more bets on them. They are begging people to bet that the Niners win by a FG, and there's at least some probability that they really expect Tampa to cover/win outright.

Edit: sorry, this was more directed at the poster who said Vegas "knew something," but still relevant re: the line changing based on d-line info too.

0-1
Ford: 2 sacks, Bosa: 2 sacks, Buckner: 2 sacks, Winston throws 2 interceptions. Niners win baby!! 1-0!!
For what it's worth, most of the national media is taking the Bucs in a close, high scoring game. The thought is that both defenses are going to be suspect and both QBs should have good games but that the climate and travel will ultimately work in the Buccaneers favor. I've seen lines for the game anywhere from Bucs -2.5 to +1 (49ers favored by 1), so the consensus is that the 49ers are a better team but the favorite goes to home field. Over/under ~50 pts.

Seems like the media thinks our pass rush will be good, but it won't matter since the secondary still sucks and Winston will still find his spots. I guess we will see who is right.
