For what it's worth, most of the national media is taking the Bucs in a close, high scoring game. The thought is that both defenses are going to be suspect and both QBs should have good games but that the climate and travel will ultimately work in the Buccaneers favor. I've seen lines for the game anywhere from Bucs -2.5 to +1 (49ers favored by 1), so the consensus is that the 49ers are a better team but the favorite goes to home field. Over/under ~50 pts.
Seems like the media thinks our pass rush will be good, but it won't matter since the secondary still sucks and Winston will still find his spots. I guess we will see who is right.
Pretty much. And the first game of the season is always full of weird shenanigans anyway. It'll take 3 or 4 games for us to really know where we stand - if we're a middle of the pack team or a contender (I doubt we'll be a bottom-dweller again unless Jimmy gets hurt again).
