This game is going to be closer than many here are expecting

No kidding. An east coast road game against the #1 passing offense last year and a much improved defense. That would be tough even if Jimmy wasn't super rusty.

They blew us out last year when Mullens was playing. We're a little better than we were then, but they're probably better too and they definitely have better coaching now. I'm not sure if rusty Jimmy is better than Mullens. He will be once he gets back in rhythm, but it might take him a few games.

I think we can still win, but it'll be close. It wouldn't surprise me if we got blown out either.

Calling it now...200+ yards on the ground. Tampa is still awful against the run.

No doubt. I'm expecting a walk off FG if we can win.

I believe that we are much more than "a little better than last year". We had almost no pass rush last year......this year we should have an elite pass rush assuming all of our guys are health. Our O-Line does concern me though.....that could cause us a lot of problems. Go Niners.
JPP just put on non-football injury list so will miss first 6 weeks.

You know it.
I hope no one is penciling this as an easy win.

We get it done in the red zone with our running game and having Kittle, Pettis, and Deebo out there. I don't expect a ton of penalties against the OL early on in this season like the previous two years, continuity is a good thing.

We will get pressure on Winston again, but he won't be able to squirt out to the outside this time. Having Kwon's speed and our SAM playing off the line should help against the pass.

Wishnowsky will be the talk of the town next Sunday.

Bruce Arians and Todd Bowles will certainly attack the 49ers CLEAR weaknesses; interior pressure and secondary.
I think we can pull it off, but it won't be the cakewalk some seem to think.
No game on our schedule will be EASY. We need to win this game..start out right
Going to be a struggle, close game. I don't see this team putting it together offense and defense to beat down anyone early in the season.

I live in Orlando and I'm taking part of my family to this game. My son's first 49ers game and I am telling you this will be a blowout IN SF favor. Late start has been alleviated due to the free concert before with ticket stub. I fully expect at least a 20 pt win. Tampa is trash!!!!

Be safe out there

Unfortunate with the incoming hurricane : (
I'm flying in from Los Angeles to the game, who's the concert at the game ?
Will fly to Orlando to watch LAFC soccer then drive to Tampa Sunday : )
