I know TVMoore has been stellar in coverage in OT's, preseason, part of games (including beautiful breakup on 4th and goal against and hopefully he will keep on getting better

But I am dismayed to watch so many missed open field tackles and taking bad angles resulting in long touchdowns and gains by other teams... first game, miscommunication with akhello could have resulted in touchdown except QB got sacked!

I just hope he cleans it up .. because I know the better OCs are licking their chops to face and abuse him
He doesn't take bad angles as much as he allows his eyes to take him out of position. The issue is eye discipline and knowing who you are facing. Can't shade too far over against the guy with the speed of John Ross.
That John Ross TD came in garbage time with all of the backups on the field. Moore has been fine with the starters. Sure, his open-field tackling needs work, but I'll take that from a guy who's virtually a rookie.

I've definitely seen him fly in and smack a guy but not wrap up a couple times. That's correctable though. Honestly haven't noticed him a great deal in these first two games, which for a FS making his first two starts, is a good thing
I usually see Moore take really good angles. When the RB gets past the LB second level, Moore or Tartt usually come out of nowhere like a missile to clean it up
To be honest seems like him and Tartt haven't had much to do in these 2 games..

i suggested that Tarvarious was a big liability and people jumped defending him

Again, today he got beat bad on the JuJu long touchdown. I know he has 4.3 speed, but boy, is he AWFUL out there in the open field. He doesn't even fall for head fake or anything, he just takes wrong step, takes himself out of the play and just falls down when he realizes he made wrong step! just awful
Jimmy Ward.........".
Too bad that there wasn't anyone decent available in FA this past off season
They have 2 weeks to help get these guys better prepared

Earl Thomas was at fault for biting up on Mecole Hardemans TD vs KC.

Pretty much it's pretty quiet back there a free safety which is a good thing
Even though our defense is playing good the obvious weak link is safety.. now we have a bye and were 3-0 so we're contenders this year.. do u think we should take advantage of having a early bye and adding a safety to the mix to upgrade or at least give decent depth.. ward is coming back and 3 plays later he's breaking something so i don't want to hear anything about Jimmy ward's fragile a$$.. we have the money and there are some very talent players available at safety.. guys like ERIC BERRY.. Sam shields..da'norris searcy.. George iloka.. sua cravens(im not sure how he would fit in our system tho).. tj McDonald.. Reggie Nelson.. all those guys besides cravens can at LEAST bring some much needed depth and experience.. honestly I think berry and Nelson would be immediate plug and start for us and be a significant upgrade at that.. shields searcy iloka and McDonald would compete and I think they would have a okay chance of beating out our guys.. our nickel corner has been shaky also and a guy like Sam shields can play nickel and safety and is experienced which is perfect cuz we need him for a year only anyways.. and even if he doesn't best of Williams or one of the safties for the starting spot we can still keep him to back up both..he would take jimmy wards spot as safety/nickel.. what do you guys think about my pitch to get a quick lil upgrade at safety?
