We're hurtin for some action!
no one has gotten picked up for owi, stabbing themselves with a pen knife, or domestic assault so far in the bye week
First time I thought about Aldon or Foster since his mangled knee. Lol
fricken foster... so nice the way the team improved the linebackers
Kwon Alexander is everything Reuben should of been

He was...the emergence of Greenlaw was the reason they let go Malcolm Smith.
Love this linebacker crew, young and fast and Kwon is the perfect rah-rah hype man every good defense needs

I think it's gonna be a very close contest cause Garrett is gonna school Skule all night long and our corner opposite Sherman is gonna get picked on all night too. We do have a much better pass rush than last year but dont u remember how bad our corners not named Sherman got torched all last season? Plus, we came out horribly flat and got destroyed by a terrible bucs team last season coming off our bye. I hope most everyone here proves me wrong and it's a blowout win for us but I'm not seeing it that way at all.

Dont see us coming out flat this yr after what happened last yr. Shanny adding 3 more practices to account for this

I don't wanna see us come out n play ugly like we have done in 2 of our 1st 3 games already. If we continue to go the ugly route we're bound to get beat soon. Gotta really clean up the turnovers and costly penalties or anyone can beat us, especially a team with as much talent as Cleveland

Shanny didn't scheme much help for Skule in game 1 vs the Steelers. Garrett is a much different story. I think you will see a bunch of chips from backs and TE's on Garrett to try and slow him down. Other than that, it will really depend on which Baker Mayfield the Niners see. The late last season version who lead the Browns back to "relevance" or the mediocre QB of this year that's not tearing it up on the field.

I would like to see and actual jet sweep on Skules side early in the game. Keep the Garrett honest.

My biggest concern this year has always been our secondary. This is Moore's first year at Safety (he should have never been put at corner), Sherman while very good is not getting any younger, and Witherspoon is returning from a not so good year. He obviously has played much better this year before he got hurt. The thing is, we dont have a lot of depth. And I honestly dont get why the front office is so high on Ward who always seems to get hurt. Even when he has not been hurt, he has not been lights out or anything.
When this GM/coaching team came on, i thought it would take a full 4 years (4 full offseasons of drafts and FA), to return this team to its winning ways. I still feel that way, despite being 3-0 right now. While I am happy we beat Tampa, Cincy, Pitts, they are really not the best teams in the NFL either. We will really see where we stand after the Cleveland game. I am not sold on Pettis (it seems neither is coach), and while I am very happy with Hurd and Deebo, I still think we lack a real #1 WR. We need improvements in our DBs, and interior OL. This next draft is loaded with very good CB's and FS's, and I see us fixing our needs there. It would be nice to add a WR weapon in FA too. I see this year being a 8-8 to 9-7 year. Next year, after we address the above needs, I think we will be set enough to win consistently.
I am sure others will be critical of my post here, but its just my opinion as I would love to be proved wrong and win a playoff game this year. I just think we need another offseason to address a couple areas of concern. This is a very pass-happy league and the good teams have major weapons with their WR's. We need a true #1, and we need younger and more talented DB's. Sherman has maybe a couple more years, jury is still out on Witherspoon (hope he does great), but outside of that, well, that's about it. If we draft in the mid-20's, we can land a very talented safety, and still can land a talented CB in round 3 based on the great depth at CB in this coming draft. IDK who is out there in FA in 2020. Do any of you? It would be nice to know who is...
Sadly I have Stage 4 Colon Cancer....so I really hope i get to see this team return to its winning ways soon so I can root for them in December/January.

Personally,
I think that Rueben was a better HITTER, but he sucked in coverage.. Alexander looked so polished when he was covering the guy and made that INT..
