Is there a real Bias against the 49ers in the NFL and Media

As excited as us fans get when our team is actually winning, the rest of the league and media aren't like that. And it's not even a "Prove it" league, it's a "continue to prove it" league. The 49ers have been bad for multiple years. The perception of how good this team is, isn't going to change with 3 games. Story lines will only change if this team puts up a winning record and does something in the playoffs; and then come outs and does the same the next few years. I feel like I can objectively say that the Seahawks aren't as good this year, and I get upset every time one of these sites ranks them in the top 10(they were in the top 5 until last week!!!). Anybody watching knows that isn't true, but they have been good for so long now that most analysts just assume they still are. Perceptions are very slow to change.

The Rams are a better team and more experienced. It's not that hard to see or understand lol.

The division standings are alphabetical right now. If you look at conference standings, the Rams are higher because they have a better conference record. We have only played 1 NFC team. The Rams have played 2.

Tie-breakers are: 1) Inter-division record, then 2) Conference Record.

it has nothing to do with bias but instead tie-breaker rules

This is not your Fantasy League where they placed by points for in a tie.

As a older fan, I have to remind you guys, We should remain patient and humble, we are the 5x Super Bowl Champion 49ers. We only count Lombardis around here.

There's no "media bias" in the standings lol. OP needs to relax.

The standings right now mean nothing. It's going to come down to WAY more than just the first three games. We haven't even played each other yet or even a game within the division!

A segment of every fanbase of every professional sports team across all professional sports has convinced themselves there's a media bias against their favorite team.

Second only to claims of referee bias against one's favorite team, it's the most boring and trite consequences of fandom out there.

Every time the 49ers come up on sports shows (TV or radio) they'll use something to take the shine off them.

Bucs & Bengals aren't that good, despite how they're playing.
Steelers without Big Ben
Turnovers without bringing up the ones that hit a 49er first & were deflected
Penalties taking TDs off the board

Frankly, I'm happy to be 3-0 & I'm looking forward to the team continuing to play well & driving down the turnovers & penalties.

I'm going to chalk this post up to bye weeks blues and hope I can get through this massive conspiracy in the standings. The offseason wants its post back.

Every team's fanbase thinks there is a bias against them.

The 49ers haven't had a winning record in 6 years. Not too many people are going to "rank" us higher than teams that have had recent success. Get over it and just enjoy the 3-0 start.

The bias won't matter. If the team wins, all detractors will ultimately be forced to pay tribute.

WE 3 - 0... screw the media !!!
