Is there a real Bias against the 49ers in the NFL and Media

Definitely starting to see the title wave of doubt creep in from the media now. Its almost kind of interesting to watch it ebb and flow like the tide.

Jim Rome also believes the 49ers are legit.

Yeah, we haven't won a Championship since '94 - we'll get some love if we win Super Sunday.

I don't know if this has been mentioned but the San Francisco Giants went through the same thing when they went on their 3 championship runs. so I think it's more of a Bay area bias. Even after they won it in 2010 and got into the World Series in 2012, all the headlines were about Verlander and how perfect the Detroit Tigers were. Everyone picked the Tigers to win the world series.

Well we all know what happened. Pablo Sandoval hit 3 homers (2 off Verlander) in game one, and the Giants ended up sweeping the Tigers.

Same thing happened in 2014 when they played the Nats in the NLCS. Same story, Giants in 6 games and then Bumgarner put the team on his back to win the World Series.

Even the Warriors before they got their first championship got a lot of hate because a jump shooting team had never won anything.

So it's definitely a Bay area bias. For some reason, the rest of the country hates it when a Bay area team is in some kind of championship game.

On Turning Point tonight (FS1, 8pm), they showed the Chiefs for two-thirds of the hour and the 49ers for the remaining third.

The whole world is in love with Mahomes.

The dubs hate got worse after that first season. Super teams were always a thing in the NBA, but all of a sudden people and the media started crying about it being unfair when dubs signed KD. They really do hate the bay

Not such a bad thing. Give Mahomes and the Chiefs all the attention right now, Kyle is cooking up a game plan that will garner the 49ers all the attention after they win the Super Bowl.

This is why I'm loving the hate. This is a fun experience and we're still playing unlike 30 other clubs
