Anyone who says it's Kittle must be a brand new bandwagon fan.

It's Brent Jones for now. If Kittle stands up during championship runs, with his blocking and receiving skills, he would be right in there.

As I see it, receiver skills and blocking are about equally important in a tight end. It's rare to find a TE who excels at both. For example, Brent Jones was a fantastic receiver, but not always a great blocker (just my opinion). It seemed that Delanie could be a receiver or a blocker, but could never do both at the same time. Kittle shows potential to be great at both, which is very encouraging. It's still early in his career to hang any all-time labels on him, obviously.
That said, I find it silly to compare players from different eras, since every sport changes so much over time. But I understand that fans love to do it.

It's Vernon. In his prime he was absolutely dominant.

Vernon Davis is our best TE of all time. Jones was good, but benefited from being a part of a much more prolific passing offense and Davis's numbers are significantly better.
Kittle will need several more years of production to be in the conversation.

In my opinion not Russ Francis, not Brent Jones, not Monte Stickles, not Charle Young, not Vance McDonald, not Vernon Davis, not Delanie Walker, not John Frank. The best 49er TE is someone most NIner fans unfortunately never saw play. In fact, Kittle is his carbon copy. Great receiver and even better after the catch. 6'4", 226. The best TE of all time was TED KWALICK. Check out the similarities between Kwalick and Kittle. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JYxoCA7CVgw
Of course its kwalick. /thread.

And I like Jones. I think he was the more consistent catcher of the football but people act like VD wasn't a top 3 TE for most of his career. Was Jones ever top 3? I don't think so.
While I actually agree for football reasons that Jones wasn't as good as VD (nowhere near, actually), considering Jones was a 4-time Pro Bowler, and only 4 TEs make the Pro Bowl each year, I'm not sure why you would say that as if it's some kind of obvious rhetorical question.
The reason Jones wasn't as good is he was a piss-poor blocker. Also, when he started out, teams were frequently not even bothering to cover him because the safeties were so focused on John Taylor and Jerry Rice.

Kwalick was once selected to the 1st string All-Pro, made the Pro Bowl 3X, and played on a Super Bowl winner for the Raiders.
Vernon Davis never made All-Pro, and played in 2 Pro Bowls. He also played on one Super Bowl winning team.

Loved Parks but he played WR for Niners. Didn't switch to TE until he was traded to NO

Kittle has the most talent out of any 49er TE in history. He is already the best.
