Been a believer in the organization under Shanny and Lynch since the day they took over. It hasn't and won't always be pretty, but the record speaks for itself. A few mistakes aside they have put together a damn good team capable of contending in year three.

I trace the fall of the golden era 49ers (and subsequent dark ages) to Mike Shanahan's departure after 1994. We had shots in '98, '11, '12, and '13 but choked (or suffered injury), beyond that we were never anything better than also-ran status and most of the time much worse. Kyle Shanahan has re-forged the line and has every chance to bring us back to prominence.

We've had a lot of luck, some bad, but most of it good. Most of all Bill Belichik's hand was forced so he traded away the Patriots' long term future at QB. The 49ers became the beneficiary of that event. Secondly our FQB goes down in week three and we end up with arguably the best player in the draft an impact position of major need.

There is a long way to go, but if we remain healthy we have as good a shot as any to win the Super Bowl this season. Garoppolo will go through the bumps this season that he missed out on last season, but ultimately will be better for those bumps. We have perhaps the best offensive play caller in the game with a ton of weapons and a great defense to play with. What is there not to be excited about? I mean who has it better than us?

Well mike Shanahan is back, hes guiding jimmy g behind the scenes

It is a long way to go to the playoffs. The difference for me this season is
1. Our defense is finally working.
2. Although we have some injuries non are too major, yet.
3. JG is back and starting to find his grove.
4. The play calling is more courageous.
5. We have started the season well.

So the difference for me is that now I feel optimistic rather then pessimistic which was a move up from outright embarrassed. I would not be booking a ticket for the play-offs yet but I think we would win more then we lose. A year to get above 8-8 and I will be happy.

If he finds his GROVE, he'll be playing in the forest...

Hahahaha groooooovy
The AA forced fumble to save the game gave me flashbacks to Justin Smith's game-saving forced fumble @ Philadelphia in 2011. Pretty crazy, huh?

I am hoping the parallels are a good omen for 2019

Too early to tell if the time is now, but it does look promising. Got to just keep grinding away and we'll see where we're at, at the end of the season.

That play came to mind for me too, although I did not think of the comparison until I was reflecting after the game.
Ummm... comfortably 2nd behind only the patriots??

Based on what we are seeing around the NFC and the way things are coming together I'm thinking this team can go 14-2. Understand that injuries can be the killer but our D is top 2 in NFL right now with Bosa and Ford being hurt and not playing a bunch of snaps in the past weeks. Now look at the offense, starting to gain some traction and by the way, here comes Hurd and Coleman... Look at the schedule, if we win these next two games, 14-2 is a real possibility. The two games I have circled are the GB and NO game. The rest of these teams offenses don't scare me at all. Guys, we may be officially back and Jimmy G is only getting better and back to form... Call me optimistic or whatever, but the Red and Gold is back!

Haters are pissed right now!
The last games are very hard, we would be lucky to go 3 and 3.

14 and 2...lol
As I said before, NO and GB are the tough games. LA is not what they were last year and the Ravens are a gimmick offense (not worried) and Seattle doesn't scare me anymore. The Falcons are a complete joke... I'm telling you, SF is the real deal if they can stay healthy
I'll start believing if they mop up both Cleveland & LA in the next two weeks. If they lose either or i doubt this team is playing deep going into January
