I understand and I like Reed as well but he's not the correct height for playing outside corner that Johnson is

Reed is better suited for nickel or free safety

Lol
funny how everybody called spoon garbage but all of a sudden he's the best corner in the league. everybody here will do anything here to bash the niners. 45-3 browns according to you guys.

It should be well known by now that the team prefers tall corners on the outside

From what it looks so far the preference is nobody under 6 one or two
I'd say the secondary now looks to be an issue here. Or at least some cause for concern.

We signed Verrett to play on the outside. Showing the FO has no problem with "undersized" cornerbacks. The love of tall cornerbacks is a trend I'll never understand. Gimme a 5'10" guy with elite COD over a 6'3" guy with horrible COD
Anyone else worried the team may be hiding the severity of Spoon's foot injury? They have been known to do it
I think if Mosley bombs the game or two we trade for Chris Harris...

Foot sprain recovery time can vary quite a lot, depending on severity. A month minimum isn't too surprising. I sprained a foot once in soccer that took over a month to fully heal. I'd say about 6 weeks. The most minor typically take 2 weeks, but some can take up to 8 weeks. Sounds like Spoon's is probably in the 4-6 week range.
Bring back Greg Mabin!

I read by one of the local reporters that spoon believes he will back sooner rather than later too.

He's starting for somebody else. I seen him last week. Can't remember the team though.
