Be sure to tell Chaz and Sus the same thing....they find it necessary to bring up ninertalk in derogatory way

It's quite an embarrassment, even for ninertalk

I'm outraged
I am far too skeptical to anoint this current team to anything past a 3-0 team with promise. Don't get me wrong, I am happy to be 3-0 and it appears on the right track. But I need a larger body of work and a victory in Seattle before I elevate this team above Harbaughs.

I loved Harbaugh when he was here. Please don't generalize the parking lot posters.

Just let it go, everyone.

The Report Button is there for a reason. Don't say you ignore it because you don't want to be a b***h and then come back in the thread stirring things up. That is not an acceptable excuse. Rules are there for a reason.

Now, back to football. Game tonight.

some people just never learn. Thank you dj.

guess all the mods disagree with you then lol
Though it doesn't fit the "who wins" narrative, one thing that feels the same is the idea that this team, like the 2011 team, is sneaking up on people. Same narrative fits the 1980/81 team. Before anybody realized how good they were, there were very good.

Early in his career, Gore was a good pass receiver. That changed under HaRoman as Gore was the horse in the cloud of dust in that Schembechler offense. From then on, he was only considered a "power runner."

Truth. Anyone remember him saving our asses in 2010 by catching two Troy Smith dying quails on third and fourth down and a million against the Rams?

I don't. You are comparing 3 games vs 16 games. At the end of the year its a different story but its a long damn year.

he was one of the best if not the best pass-blocking running back in the league too. so underrated in that department.

i shouldve re-phrased, "guess all the mods who've currently posted up to this point disagree with you then." also, im comparing coaching and scheme. as well as a few players. 2 completely differently built teams from top to bottom that would be so cool to watch square up in a real football game

Oh please let us delude ourselves until the bubble bursts
Jim Garbaughge.
I really do think this team matches up well with the 2011 9ers. We can shutdown the run, which means we'd shutdown the 2011 offense. 2011 can shutdown the run too, but this team has a QB that actually has a chance to counter.

Everyone seems to be forgetting the 2011 team faced the easiest schedule in the NFL. Our division was awful. We haven't faced anyone yet, but the 2011 9ers didn't have many real tests themselves. We pulled one out of our ass against the Saints, but then our passing attack came back to reality in the NFCCG.

2011 was damn good. I think they matched up well the Pats and probably would have a SB if it weren't for KW, but this 2019 team matches up really well with the 2011 team. It would be a defensive battle, that's for sure.
