We've won 3 games (none of which are particularly impressive considering the competition). It's premature at best to compare this team to the 2011 team.

Since these defenses are both good enough to slow down the run game, it comes down to the QBs.
We all know I think Alex sucks, so that's why I picked 2019.
It took KC leading the league in yards per carry, creating the most separation per completion, and having the best passing weapons in the NFL, just to get a decent statistical season out of 13 year vet Alex. There's just way too much that has to be clicking for Alex to look good, and that's not the way it would play out with the 2011 offense against the 2019 defense.

One thing I don't miss about 2011 team, way less delay of game calls and wasted time outs.

Just like the BUF Bills will never be considered champions after they went to three straight SBs, the JH era produced nothing but two or three HOF players.
The 2019 SF team looks to have promise, but I'm not crowning them either.
Overall raw talent comp, here is mine:
QB: 2019
RB: 2011
FB: 2019
TE: 2019 easily
OL: doesn't matter: all scheme related
WR: 2019
DL: 2019
LB: 2011
CB: 2019
Safety: no one cares scheme
HC: 2019 because f**k rah rah

Would it be a mollywhopping so bad it would have you rooting for a mass shooting?

Jk not really, well kinda
Classy post here....wishing for a mass shooting is always cool. Should absolutely joke about that sort of s**t.

True and Alex has lasted long in the league then Kap because he is a better long term QB, just saying

that doesnt matter. however, it's clear we were very limited on offense in 2011 whether we could control it or not

2019 has better qb, te, dl and special teams
2011 had better ol, lb and dbs
Rb and fb is a wash
Harbaugh is better than shanahan and fangio is much better than saleh
I think it's close but the 2011 defense prevails

Then why are you here? Because this team hasn't won s**t in 25 years and it would be incredibly depressing to have a super bowl or bust mentality while following a team that has only 3 winning seasons in almost the last 20 years.

It's not actually.
I'd say in 2012 and 2013 it was like that, because now the team was reminiscent (success wise) of the old. So the old feelings and expectations came back.
Make no mistake about it, I'd love for the 49ers to go all the way this year, but I don't think it's fair enough to demand it. But surely I demand a strong season....
If the 49ers had a 2011 type regular season, it's possible the hope is for a trophy, but I wouldn't hold them accountable to it.
2020 would then be that season.
We're not like Seahawks fans, where the SB or bust part went out the window a few years ago....

Look at 2016 Rams versus 2017/2018.....night and day difference.
